This guy is either very confused or full of ----    but the bids prove something is going on but your probably right they are "shill" bids and not actual bidders

Nice car and color combo but way to many things wrong and the stories just don't  jive. I asked for title info, vin #'s trans # trim tag # DZ # etc and am still waiting
Bidding is going crazy but this car screams buyer beware!
my 2 cents

Decoding/Numbers / Master Cylinder number decode
« on: December 08, 2012, 11:02:27 PM »
Hey Guys
Can you help me decode this MC # for correct application. It does not have the twin bleeder screws or stamped US on the pad so its not for a Z ....generic application? part # is either 5 or 6480848.
Thanks for the help

There is a product I have run across recently that will seal that hole (depending on where and how big) or so they claim as well as head pipes etc. Sorry One of those product names I should have saved.........
Try Eastwood, its worth the time or do goggle searches
Good luck

Restoration / 69 Camaro Front Spoiler Finish
« on: October 05, 2012, 08:09:56 PM »
I finished repairing my original front spoiler after it being badly damaged. I have been experimenting with different shades of black (5 different ones so far) my favorites include Krylon Semi-Gloss (30% gloss) and Krylon Satin ( about 40% gloss)
I like the satin finish (as opposed to the semi-gloss when mounted on the car seems almost flat in color) since the original spoilers had a bit of a sheen to the molded plastic. Any suggestions or different colors of black I can try for the close to correct factory finish. Never knew there were so many different shades of black!
Thanks

Restoration / Re: 69 Front Spoiler Brackets
« on: October 01, 2012, 03:42:27 PM »
Thank you John, I figured they were since they are shown in the AIM but the real question was the length of the actual brackets.

Restoration / 69 Front Spoiler Brackets
« on: September 30, 2012, 05:43:35 PM »
Are the original factory brackets the same length and have the same angel twist and flat flanges as the reproductions? I was going to use the correct mounting kit not the aftermarket one but hesitate attaching the bracket and washer to the bottom outside of lower fender extension, not to the inside of the extension as you do with the repro set.  That attachment point may damage the paint etc if the spoiler is banged around??? GM AIM says differently.........refer to AIM D80 A1
Thanks for the help

Steve,
I thought so, thanks mate. That helps me deciding which product and flexible filler to use. I will look into the link you sent me to see if this fits the bill.
Thanks again

« on: September 22, 2012, 02:17:27 AM »
Can someone please tell me what type of specific material (what type of plastic) the front spoilers were/are made of. Not the cheap Taiwan repops but an original GM period made piece. This info. will help me get the correct repair materials.
Thanks for the help...

General Discussion / Re: Reproduction Endura Bumpers are horrible
« on: September 21, 2012, 04:35:00 AM »
Just curious as to what materials/product your using to repair the endura bumper. I know GM made an actual repair kit in a can.........."Urethane Bumper Repair kit" #1050951
I have one can but the black paste tube has dried out...............good luck
