Restoration / Gas Tank Restoration 69 Z28
« on: May 17, 2011, 08:35:55 PM »
Need to restore our original date coded ( right where they said it would be) stamped: 2, upside down 5 69 tank. It was lined with some type of  liquid liner prior to my purchase of the vehicle and the liner started  to breakdown due to 111 race /91 octane gas combo being used. Repro tank was installed.
Looking for a pro to do the work!  Greater LA, Orange County, San Diego general So Cal area. Not sure if J. Mcneish does this type of service so have not contacted him yet. Need to get an estimate to see if the tank is actually still useable!
Thanks to all for all the help!

Restoration / Speaking 69 Z/28 Drive Shafts
« on: May 12, 2011, 09:59:44 PM »
Spent an hour or so viewing all sorts of different topics and saw one on drive shafts but danged if I can locate it again. Redoing the M21 trans shortly,  leaks like a sieve since cheap gaskets were used a few years ago during a major overhaul. Two questions, can anyone recommend a good quality gasket set that's not made of "rice paper" and won't start to leak a few weeks after being installed and Jerry M calls for the DS to be natural metal in color, any paint mfg suggestions besides Seymours cast blast that would be concourse correct.
I can also shoot photos of numbers etc if anyone needs the info.  Norwood 02A X33 723 57 57 V0130DZ

My response was misunderstood. The plastic retaining clips have 4 small round holes. How are the clips postioned so at what quadrants are the holes in the clips located at.
Imagine looking at the face of a clock to position the holes in the clips onto the blanket
Thanks

Which are the correct hood blanket clips for 69 Z/28. The all solid ones or the ones with 4 small round holes?

Restoration / OEM Paint

Howdy
I am trying to locate some OEM Spary paint. This Chevy Orange Red color is made by the company in Escondido Califronia, OEM Paints.Inc. This great color and was carried at one time by everyone from Ricks to Classic to HBC but no one carries it any longer and the company will only sell 3 cans minimum at 60 bucks a whack! The product number is 62020, bar code is 02212 62020. Only need one can. Any help would be truly appreciated!!!  Will pay all actual costs to the Los Angeles area.
Thanks

Howdy
I am trying to locate some Krylon spary paint that has now been discontinued. The color is #1613 Semi-Flat Black, bar code is 24504 01613. This is a great product and has been replaced with a Satin finish with the same part number. The new paint has a glossier finish. Need 6 cans of the older paint. Any help would be truly appreciated!!!  Will pay all actual costs to the Los Angeles area.
Thanks
