General Discussion / M-22 Production Question
« on: May 05, 2012, 02:27:06 AM »
I was wondering if there were any total production stats for 69 Z-28 Camaros with M-22 transmissions?
(The M-22 was a fairly expensive option for 1969 so I'm assuming the numbers were low)

General Discussion / Chambered Exhaust Option - 69 Z
« on: March 28, 2012, 02:36:43 AM »
I have a 69 Z with a build date of 05A with the transverse muffler system. I'm considering switching to a gardner chambered exhaust system and was wondering if the car's build date was within the correct factory timeline for cars installed with that option? Can someone provide the actual date when the chambered exhaust option became available on the 69Z?

Thanks

Don,
I mentioned your car to some local car club members, they were wondering if you were planning to post it on e-bay?

RK Motors is advertising a 69 Dover White Z with Orange Houndstooth deluxe interior as a one of a kind car. Anyway to verify this claim?

They're all great, but for me it's the 69 Z/28 not only does it have great styling it also has great history. I remember my first introduction one that I'll never forget. It was early dawn one Sunday morning (back when nothing else was open) I was 17 working at one of two full service gas stations located side by side. The sun had yet to come up and I was taken readings from the pumps before starting another day when all of a sudden I hear the tires breal loose and then the Holley carb kick in.....I ran out to the curb to see what in heavens name was making all the commotion and what I saw were those distinct round parking lamps rising up and down as the Camaro went through the numbers and that sound coming the high reving 302 was breathtaking as it was the only car on the road that quite morning. Then unexpectedly, the car quickly slowed and pulled into the station next to mine.....come to find out my buddy working at that station had just purchased it. Hugger Orange, no spoliers, no options at all....just a base 69 Z/28....it was love at first sight!

General Discussion / Gasoline Additives

Are any of you DZ owners running fuel additives for todays unleaded gasoline...or is that a only concern that has a long term effect on the valve train? If so, what brand do you recommend?

I'm sure there's probably already been a thread on this topic, but for educational purposes can someone point out 'how to spot a restamp' or provide some photos to compare against for us CRG newbies? Thanks

General Discussion / 69 Z D-80 Option ??
« on: August 26, 2011, 05:04:22 PM »
I've seen cowl tags stamped with the D80 RPO and many tags without the stamp. CRG info states front and rear spoilers were optional on early/mid 69 Camaros and standard on late models. Does that mean all the (early or late) Camaros equipped with factory installed spoliers had the D80 stamping and all others w/o the stamped tag may have had them installed by the dealer?

General Discussion / Re: 69 Z-28 Hood & Deck Striping Specs
« on: August 14, 2011, 12:46:14 PM »
Yes, I did take look through some of the old CRG threads but didn't come across anything unless I overlooked them. The links Mark provided were very helpful and much appreciated. I wasn't aware of the TC site....but will using it in addition to the CRG site. Was wondering about the comment on the slight size differences between the two main stripes on the rear deck...had never heard that one before.....just wondering if anyone has ever checked these measurements against their cars?
