Originality / Re: Were different vendors used for wheel hubs

Thanks, maybe I should have said plants instead of vendors. I was just wondering if the hubs and spindles came as an assembly from an axle plant and if so did they use more than one plant. Just curious why the hubs and rotor bolts are different. Not going to lose sleep over it and going back together like that.

'68 with front disc brakes. Were different vendors used for the hubs? Both have GM bolts attaching the rotors but the head markings are different and one hub is machined around the od on the seal side. I thought one might have been replaced but then the bolts for the rotors should been the same on both sides.

Trans-Am Camaros / Re: Fender Flaring On Trans-Am Camaros

Nice pic. Well 30 plus years ago I thought they were sharp, today I would have to give it a polite "different". I supposed it saved some fabrication time.

Steve there was a Jeff Hoyt in Buffalo N.Y. who raced a 67 or 68 Camaro, he took the rear fenders of a VW and used them on the front. He turned them around so the rear portion of the fender was facing forward so the lower portion would be used to make an air dam. The front VW fenders were used on the rear, not sure how he fitted them. I think it was around '68 or'69 when I saw the car, looked sharp.

He even has a reserve set for that. Trim tag on a rebody probably not even worth it.

Come on guys, suck it up, I'll be 65 in June and am still working on heavy equipment, filed for Medicare yesterday.  ;D  Learn to work smarter, if you don't use a creeper lay on a piece of cardboard, you'll slide easier than just being on concrete. Roll on to your hands and knees to get up, I learned that trick when I fell off the creeper. And if you really need help tie a rope to something so you can pull yourself out from under the car. Figure out a way to get it done. My problem is that I refuse to accept my age. I still think I'm 30 something. Seriously though do what you are capable of and don't hurt yourself. We would joke about getting old and rewinding the motors of our electric wheelchairs and adding wheelie bars and racing around the nursing home.

Here it is 1973, paid $1700. for it. My wife said she married me for that car and would not let me sell it. My niece and nephew now have young adults of their own. You really know how to make somebody feel old.

It's not mine and it's not a Camaro but a big block blower, not a blown big block.  Kinda cool.

Thanks guys, techniques are always helpful. What I am more interested in is what brand of sealer anyone might recommend.
