Trying to find someone to replace quarters and floor pans on my '68. Is it the norm to ask for some money up front? $500 to reserve the next slot and another 500 when the car is dropped off. Or should this throw up a red flag?

Restoration / How to repair plastic/vinyl air dam (69 BB w/ AC)

I have this air dam that goes under the front of the sub frame. It's made of plastic or vinyl. Does anyone know how I can repair the tears at the mounting holes. Some type of glue, epoxy or plastic weld?

Originality / Early 68 Z28 engine

Did the early 68 Z28 date, 12E, come with the 389257 small journal block or did all 68's have the 3914678 block?
