Hello everyone!!!   I've been looking for outdoor pics of dealership with a 1969 Camaro Z/28 sitting in front of dealership.  At that time, I was ready to buy car, but they SOLD it.  I'm just trying to reach out here, to see if anything is available.  Camaro was "burnish brown" with white stripes.  Thank you......

Originality / 1969 Camaro Heater Control Plastic lens
« on: February 28, 2020, 09:28:29 PM »
Hello everyone!!!   I have a used heater control for a 1969 Camaro, that has scratches on the lens.  At the bottom of lens, there is a stripe of "blue paint", running across the bottom.  Purchased new one, which does not have strip.  Does the strip suppose to cast a blue light from light bulb which is near this strip???  Thanks

General Discussion / Bellhousing alignment procedure
« on: June 19, 2018, 01:44:51 AM »
Hello everyone....Question:  Does anyone here know the proper procedure on aligning a bellhousing???  We used a dial indicator, but everytime we would recheck the reading, they would "differ" from previous reading.  Used new dowel pins also.  Still no good.  Going to purchase some stock dowel pins and see if that helps.  Any assistance would be appreciated guys.  Thanks!

General Discussion / Harrison Radiator
« on: February 28, 2018, 03:37:05 AM »
Hi Guys!  Does anyone have knowledge on a Harrison Radiator, why these are constructed with a "curved neck" top radiator out-let??  This was on all the 4-core
radiators that were equipped with a 396 or 427 big block engine.  This curved neck is available in some of the Camaro parts book, that you can insall on a Harrison non-curved tank.

Does anyone know if the steering wheel shrouds on 69 Camaros, had the edge of the shroud "painted" or was it "vacuum plating"???  The part# was 3939760.
Some of the other dash cluster parts have this "chrome like" finish, on the outside edges of that part.  OK guys, give me a shout if you have any knowledge of someone who does this kind of restoration.   Thanks!!    Don

Looking for some info on headrests for a 1969 Camaro.  A guy on e-bay told me there is a company in California that restore these.  Anyone know about this company or of another restoration place that restores these???  If you do by chance, please leave word here and I'll check back.  Thanks guys..

General Discussion / Vacuum shortage
« on: December 26, 2017, 12:24:40 AM »
Hi Guys...I have a BB 396/375 that has a "vacuum" issue.  Currently pulling about 9.0 inches.  I believe i should be creating around 11 - 12 inches.  It has a slightly  hotter cam than stock for this engine.  Before we dive into it, I just thought I'd ask the question of what might be the "root cause".  The cam maybe  a little.  We suspect may the intake manifold.  Could be slightly warped?not square???  What it does when it gets hot, idles down and stalls out.  Cold, it runs OK.  Anyhow, any input would be helpful before we go nuts.  Thanks guys!!

I would like to install a "defogger blower" on my 1969 Camaro SS/RS.  Question: Does one have to cut dash, or is this already pre-cut behind the wood grain covering??  All comments will be appreciated.  Thanks guys!   Don

General Discussion / Re: Slick size?
« on: August 16, 2017, 09:22:24 AM »
Would the original rally wheels (15 x 7 )  work??  I'm trying to determine what size tire would fit on these rims.  I really don't want to run the biggest tire I can.
Thanks for the input.  Anybody else, please chime in.
