Sorry I thought there might have been a visibility package option that would have had the day night mirror and remote drivers side mirror, and then a passenger side mirror. Somebody on here should be able to provide it here shortly.  :)

Great pics, looks like a solid car. Vinyl top doesn't look bad either, I like the way it goes all the way to the drip rail moulding myself. So I saw the part about the dents, any rust? (yes cars can rust in california) ANd the asking price???

How about the movie "EAT MY DUST" with Ron Howard  68 camaro
or " King of the Mountain" with Dennis Hopper and Harry Hamlin I think they wreck another 68 in that one.

I know team Camaro has a classifieds area, I am not sure why CRG doesn't.
If there is a problem, I think you could safely post pictures of it on CRG and state all the facts about the car and then say you are thinking of selling it, and you would probably get a few PM s of members who would be interested. Just an idea

When you guys mention scuffing the powder coating on rally wheels before painting them the correct GM argent silver what exactly do you mean?  I am guessing it is because the silver paint won't adhere properly to the smooth powder coating?  How much scuffing is just right and how much is too much?  Would you use a fine grit sandpaper to do it?  Thank you.
It will stick to the powder, but I wouldn't want to chance it flaking off in the future, and as I have seen the powder coated finish has a bit of a orange peel look to it, so sanding would also help remove some of that. So then when you spray the silver it will appear more natural or more factory correct than just the powder alone.
As far as "scuffing" powder is pretty hard stuff, I think 400 or even 300 would be fine. I would start with the inside of the wheel and try a couple test spots that won't be seen to get your desired sanding and spray it let it dry and see how you like the appearance.

General Discussion / Re: OT- Ceiling mounted garage heater placement

My father in law and I have a hanger where I keep the Camara and a few other vehicles, the area where the heat escapes is the main door and the ceiling. Both are insulated but where the door opens ( on the sides and top and bottom) there is rubber there but it isn't a strong air tight seal. Heat rises obviously so if you have any areas in the ceiling where heat can escape I would recommend  insulating as best you can to fill in any gaps.
So with all that said, I would recommend an install that pushes all the hotest heat away from the door, and directed down. You will have some heat that will escape through the door and ceiling but without seeing a picture of your garage this would be my best advice based on my experience.
FYI we also have some ceiling fans in our hanger and when we crank up the heat in the winter we use those to push the hot air down to the floor, this seems to raise the temp throughout the hanger about 5 to 10 degrees.
We keep the thermostat set at 40 degrees during the winter, and if we are going to be there a while we may crank it up to 50. When you come in from temps in the teens or below outside to 40 or 50 it feels awesome.

I would say between $200 and $400. I had a lot of pieces for my impala and Chevelle powder coated, and developed a good rapport with the powder coater. So I was able to work out deals for the same color pieces. Ex: bumper brackets, pulleys, upper and lower A arms.

Have you checked the AIM that Kurt has posted?
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/55969979/1968%20CAMARO%20FACTORY%20ASSEMBLY%20MANUAL.pdf

It may show it in there as an option, and give the dimensions of where to drill the holes.

I don't have a good pic of mine to post, but the stamp on mine appears to be more uniform as far as the font. I agree with Cook, it looks like the 11 and 837 look a tad thicker and larger than the 00.

That car is the best concept that actually looked like the production car that I have seen. I wonder how much of a connection to the GM concepts it had? I guess you can't trademark a concept. If you had enough supporting pictures and docs that car may be worth something one day.

I gotcha, do you also put one of those (salt?)canisters inside the bag to trap the moisture?  Sounds like your car is in good hands
