General Discussion / Re: Temecula ROD RUN

Thats a good pic of your son with your 67. I would have given you the trophy for best spoiler... :D
I am glad one of us got a "trophy" but in all honesty, I could do without the judging, just fun hanging out.

It was cool to be able drive my truck, but I don't think it's ready for the lime light yet. (a suspension and wheel/tire upgrade and it will be getting a lot closer.)

Good times today at the show. A lot bigger turn out than anyone expected, and great weather, felt like mid to high 70's most of day. Thanks for the good times Zak, and thanks to Jack for the quick ride in his Z. (can't wait to get behind the wheel of mine in July). I am already looking forward to the next show in a couple of months. We'll have to get there even earlier I think, but I expect to see at least 1 if not 2 more first gens there for the next one.  :)

is either motor original to the car? Is the one that is not in the car rebuilt and ready to go? or what is the difference between the 2?

Hey man, bring it into the sunlight and wash it. Then get some plug wires on there, new plugs, and drain the gas tank, and fill with some new fuel and an oil change, and fire it up. All that goes well check your brakes, and take mer out for a spin!

I think what would make it fun for you, would be to get it running and operational first. This way you can enjoy the car while you contemplate what steps you want to take next. Plus you get the car running and operational and you just doubled the value.. :D

Welcome to the site!
Are your plans just to get it running initially? Or are you going to prep it for paint, (looks like it was originally GOLD), and clean the whole car up?

I have looked at many images of a 69 firebird engine compartment, and haven't seen one with it mounted on the firewall. I can't see why it would be engineered differently. Looking at the pic though i don't see a heater box there either?

"I found this pic of a 69 TA dash."

I saw those as well, seems like they all have those vents in the dash, and his doesn't  have those, but has the 4 holes in the center.

firebird, and then quarters and tail panel swapped out? Possibly, or someone swapped out the dash.

Hey Fahad how about a pic of the Vin stamp on the top of the cowl? or about where your battery tray is on the firewall?

Unrestored seems to be the hot button right now, almost no matter what the make and model. Even 4 doors believe it or not in nice original shape have been getting some good coin.

The switches correspond more to a 69 firebird dash, but the 4 hole assembly in the middle doesn't ... is that for gauges, or AC?

that dash area doesn't look quite right, maybe modified? Pretty interesting to see someone move the battery tray to the firewall. I have seen it relocated to the trunk, but first time seeing someone relocate to the firewall.

Very nice install. Great looking colors on your car.
Is the rear antenna originally that long?
