That is the correct front tag holder for a 69 Camaro with the "C" stamping. The AAC stamping is also another marking but mostly seen on the 67 68 Front Tag Holder. It seems to appear later in the 69 production year again.

So either the "AAC" stamp or the "C" could be assembly line correct?

Gary educate me here, where or how can you tell it was updated/printed in 79?

I just got a front bracket that may be the original. It has the "C" on each mounting tab, how long was this bracket used? and
what is considered later production?????

I can't tell in the pic, but does this car have the bracket that holds the vacuum line?

Well under date it says: 03222. Anybody have any ideas?
Or anybody have an original license frame bracket that can confirm on the "C" stamp?

All my original paperwork is back in Indiana with the the car. How do I figure out the date from this tag??  ???

Ok next was this nice find:

Now this bracket was purchased from the dealer since the "original?" was scuffed. (Owner included a note with it so he would remember where it went).

now this bracket has a "C" stamped into it, would that be assembly line correct?

Originality / Parts found from the Original owner of my 1969 Z/28
« on: April 22, 2014, 07:59:29 PM »
I bought my Z back in 2008, and then sadly soon after the original owner past away. I have formed a good relationship with the son of the original owner, who along with his mom (original owners wife), has provided a lot of great stories about the car and its owner.

Well I got a cryptic email last week from the son, who said he found some original GM boxes with some familiar handwriting (his dads familiar script). So I was super excited except I didn't know what to expect. Well I started getting some pics this week, and although this isn't like finding a JL8 car or something, to find these parts is like Christmas for me. To get the parts along with a note from the original owner, is like a gift from beyond the grave!

more pics to follow...

Here is a shot of mine, it hasn't been off the car since it left the factory, and still has the original paint as well.

I saw the pop, but was there any dealer invoice or any other docs that might show the factory options on this car?

Steve, I bet you can't wait to have it at your show! What a nice example of a car that happen to benefit from just the right circumstances.
It is funny to me how many people set out to preserve a car back in the day, and how only a small handful actually came out the other side in nice condition. I remember a few years back there was a raffle for a like 50's plymouth/chrysler that was entombed when brand new in a cinderblock mausoleum, and then at the 50 year anniversary of the town they were going to announce the winner who would have entered the raffle when the car was locked away new. Well long story short, the cinder block tomb only trapped moisture inside and the car that was suppose to have been  well preserved looked like it had been buried in a river.

Very nice. Other than the tires, did anything else ever get switched off the car? What are the owners plans for it?
