General Discussion / Re: Forum Question

The parts wanted forum is usually used over at the Team Camaro site, as this site is usually reserved for research and data. Hope this helps.

I found 12 new pinch weld clips that hold the mouldings on at the rear of the convertible top well. They were in the slots at the front seat reinforcements, next to the sub frame mounting nut - they had to make noise on hard turns.

Restoration / Re: Rear End Cover - Replace or Repair?

Jeff,

Are you sure?? The cutout is usually where the flexible brake hose / fitting bolts, hence the reason for the cutout, so that it mounts "flat" to the housing.

FWIW
The lower seat back in your pictures appears to have an issue at the second from the bottom cross spring, which may need to be addressed as well.

I am certainly not an expert, but if you are going for originality, my 67 built in October of '66 (10B @ trim tag) has steel backs, and are original to the car.

Jeff 68,

Did anyone supply you with picks of an original? I have the original mat from my '67 RS (in poor shape as well), and suspect it's the same as '68. I'll take pics for you if you think it will help - let me know.

General Discussion / Re: FISHER BODY MEASUREMENT
« on: February 13, 2011, 04:50:12 AM »
My 67 measures 43 and 15/16 wide, so I would assume the 43 and 7/8 would be a correct measurement. The measurement was taken inside the rails, just below centerline of the shackle bushing mount areas.

General Discussion / rear window regulators - 68
« on: February 11, 2011, 03:30:27 AM »
Guys,

I currently have some rear window regulators for sale at TC, and was told the coupe and convertible rear regulators are the same. Can anyone confirm ? Also what would be a fair value for the pair - thoughts and opinions welcome. Newbie to this site.

Dave,
If you are still concerned about this dimension, I will happily measure my 67 for you, as they are the original rails - advise please.

General Discussion / '68 Owners Manual
« on: January 15, 2011, 08:57:57 PM »
I am in the process of getting ready to restore my '67 RS Convertible, and found a '68 owners manual - possibly from when I scrapped a wrecked '68 coupe many years ago. The manual is the second printing (Nov), and has no missing pages or writing on the inside, just some slight water damage as seen in the pics. My question is this - what value does it have ?? ???
