There arent many WW2 veterans around anymore, yet P51 Mustangs are 4M,and some civil war swords bring tens of thousands  ...so I dont buy the age thing. Its more a history thing.
2  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: A Friend Is Looking for a June 69 DZ 302 on: November 29, 2013, 10:46:30 AM
The motor is at the machine shop getting checked for cracks etc right now,and has never yet been apart .   I was told this was bought over the counter by the person i got it froms friend, and he bought it new from gm to put in a 64 corvette, which is what it was pulled from    Alternatively, it could have been a assemby line motor that never got stamped. My white Z has a trans with no vin, the date matches the POP, an the original owner said it was never touched    It is actually a May 29 not may 26 as listed

THAT EXACT SLEEVE HAS BEEN ON THAT PARTICULAR JACK MAST SINCE  1969 ,  I AM ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN OF THAT.                Here is a 69 chevelle jack w the same sleeve,so its not just an oldsmobile thing.     http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/497484/1969_CHEVELLE_BUMPER_JACK

12  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: Early bird special. on: January 24, 2013, 11:20:10 AM
Anyone?  On the original  question about early cars having  any one off type items or parts. Probably best to pose that to a firebird enthusiast site but thought there may be someone familiar with them here.
13  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 68 z smog system on: January 22, 2013, 11:51:43 AM
Exactly my point.  You dont even know or care if the setup has repro parts in it, you only care whos selling it.....comparing a price of a system with repro parts to an as new dfday 1 takeoff and saying a few years from now they will be the same  is ignorant.  Now maybe we can go back to the content of the original post
14  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 68 z smog system on: January 22, 2013, 01:27:10 AM
So you believe  you can get a complete ,fully restored and replated original 68 69 Z28 setup with NO  repro parts for 1695?Huh?    Considering  a real  pulley alone goes for 900-1000.00 used on a 69 Z ,that kind of sheds some light on your incorrect claim.
15  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 68 z smog system on: January 21, 2013, 10:37:50 PM
Just cant seem to find the exact ad  for an untouched as new  Day 1 takeoff system with dated belt for 1550.00 that you are referring  to. Can you post it ?
