The Trim Tag will have an X33 or X77 on Norwood built Camaros however there are exceptions. Pre X code vehicles and anything built at the VanNuys/LA plant did not use an X-Code. These cars are often confirmed by using engine, transmission and rear end stampings (mostly engine stamping). The Vin will let you know if the car was a V8, V6 and coupe or convertible.

Do you have a photo of a CBU stamp?  I don't think I've ever seen one, so maybe it's not like I was expecting..?
or maybe Bryon can post a pix of his as he has a C BU code??

General Discussion / Re: 50 Z/28's For Sale ???
« on: December 27, 2012, 10:46:56 PM »
This dealer has been around for a while, I think they sell on consignment. I remember they had a Dusk Blue '69 Z for sale on their website site. I contacted them and spoke to someone who seemed somewhat knowledgeable but the car had been sold. He told me they have access to all kinds of private collections and could get what I need. I guess after reading the above posts they can also apparently build me anything I need....

Was doing the usual tour on E-Bay looking at parts and cars, came across this ad and the sellers claim is TC and CRG Members have confirmed the trim tag to be real and car is in the database. Interesting part is no vin or link provided to any thread confirming the claim. Does anyone remember the car and perhaps the accompanying thread discussion? From the one pic posted the trim tag looks a little beaten up.

Great videos Dave and James, gotta love the sound of Chambered exhaust. James it looks like the car is almost complete, you need to update your TC thread with some pics.

As Kurt has noted and I think we can at least agree when the motor is in the car that vin is hard to see at the best of times, it is entirely possible on the second inspection perhaps Jerry was able to find it. I have pictures of my block out of the car and still the vin by the oil filter is hard to read. I would agree that anyone who needs more context should reach out to Jerry directly.
