Is PNWCC hosting the Triple XXX show? And does Vancouver B C still have a Camaro club? Terry
Hey Terry, the old Vancouver Camaro Club (VCC) closed up shop about 10 years ago. We started a new club this year and some of the members from the old club are with us now. I am still in contact with Richard who is the original president/founder of the VCC, great guy and has been sending people our way. You can visit our site www.bccamaroclub.com

I hear the Lemay Auto museum is amazing and we are trying to arrange a club tour...we also have a couple of Camaros going down from BC to the car show Issaquah, should be lots of fun and some of the PNWCC members are also coming up to our show at the end of July, great month for Camaro fever.
Now, you're making me wish I could get to Issaquah!  I also love the Tri-Five show at Triple X.
The BC show looks like a good show from your website.  How many cars do you expect?
Hard to tell Phil, it's our first show as we just launched the club officially in January of this year. Almost at 50 members however the word is spreading like a brush fire. Based on pre-reg and commitments we are predicting at least 300 cars and of that over 50 camaros. We have signed up some big hit sponsors like Dueck Chevrolet who will have a display booth and brining out a 2013 Callaway Camaro and Corvette.  The BC Corvette club will also be brining out close to 50 of their cars alone. Over 60 trophies in various classes and 100% family friendly fun. We are also doing a cruise the night before and ending at the Shark Club for some drinks and bbq...they are also one of the show sponsors and will be setting up a party pit for us.  The Vancouver Canucks have donated a Henrik and Daniel Sedin autographed jersey and all proceed are going to Canucks Place.

Interesting that this late into production there were still errors like this being made.

The last one I bought I got from Camaro Specialities, however Heartbeat City or most of the major vendors would also sell drive belts.

Clem, I don't think anyone here is trying to devalue the car or protect Jerry, during his inspection Jerry still did confirm this was a numbers matching '69 Z28 and that is great news. We had an opportunity to chat a few weeks ago and I found you to be a very pleasant car guy, you definitely knew your stuff and did not seem like someone who would forget most facts especially the color of this car,  you were very clear in our conversation about the color and how you ordered the car. Wish we could just get away from this paint discussion and focus on a very cool restoration of a '69Z.

Why haven't the Norwood guys and gals chimed in...in the past or now? Especially in the past if procedures were not expressed to there recollection?

I think this is a valid question, keep in mind most of these folks did this as a job and may not actively be in hobby, they would also be 43+/- years older and perhaps do not utilize technology like some of us do. It also took someone to organize them, spend his own money, interview each one of them and translate that information into a book and I am sure this was not easy to do. I have always been a person that tries to see the other side of the story as well. I have read this string and there might be a legitimate reason why Phil may not be able to answer specific questions or provide examples from his book, maybe publishers/distributors don't want to see that...No idea if his information is correct or inaccurate but with anything else in life you will need to decide for yourself. Personally, being in the hobby actively for a few years and still learning I would order a copy of the book and see for myself.

Neat color for sure and a very unique Z28. There is a thread on Team Camaro that Brad posted about finding the car, connecting with Clem for the original documentation and the current restoration.

The Sellers response to the question on E-Bay was a little funny as he was trying to get his point across and not really hiding anything, by the nature of his response I get the sense he truly believes it's the real deal and offering a money back guarantee to prove his point. I am not an expert with these stamping so don't know either way. I think wilma99 is a Yenko.net member, If it's the same person he usually has some pretty cool cars for sale and is a very active member.
