General Discussion / Re: For Sale on Ebay
« on: January 03, 2011, 03:48:56 PM »
Tim, the car looks nice and the price seems very reasonable. I noticed it did not hit the reserve so maybe the Dealer will be a little flexible in the price knowing what the Market was willing to pay. Not many cars come with any type of documentation and this one has the original POP. You should pursue this one a little more and get some closer pics of stampings and POP. I too cannot speak for the dealer but be a little cautious as he seems to have had some issues. Best of luck and keep us posted.

Galen is the top dog when it comes to Mopar vehicles. A friend of mine owns several cars and he is always telling me about how good Galen is, of course I'm always throwing Jerry M in his face....As I can call Jerry for free and ask questions and Galen charges for his time.

E-Bay is where I bought most of my manuals and they were cheap.

I think the preservation of this hobby lies with us. My son who is currently 6 years old loves my Camaro's, in fact he has laid claim to most of my collection and my two daughters could care less as they just like going for rides. If we instil in them early enough the respect and what it takes to preserve the legacy of these cars they will listen. I've never attended a car show without my wife and all of our children present. I agree the hobby is not growing at the speed we would like to sustain the long term viability of these cars, but I also think these cars are like an investment and will only grow over time. The pool of people buying and selling will be less in 25 years but the people will still know what these cars are and will still pay a premium to buy.

Rick, I did not mean to offend you by using your "user name". So what are the facts? I have re-read your initial post and it does nothing but attempt to provide damage control around the Camaro Nationals moving. The rest is just semantics on your part to avoid the true issues of what Jerry has suggested in his posts. I agree with you that we need to ensure the viability of the hobby however, you also strike me as a person who knows the damage social media sites like this could cause and decided to go into damage control. Sorry my degree was in Finance and not English but this is how your posts are resonating with me. I truly wish you all the best at the GM Nationals and hope maybe one day the truth will come out for all to hear.

Sonny

Ron, despite the placement of the grill emblem (lol) it's a beautiful Z28.

Carlisle Rick can you please help clarify something for us? You went through the effort to register on this website, suggest these are just false rumours and yet did nothing to clarify any of the allegations. Seem very odd to me that you would go through this much effort just to put a sales spin on people attending your event....There are some very suggestive posts here and other website from very reputable Camaro people, people I myself have done business with and know their word is everything. Maybe take some time and post something worth reading, not just a PR response to the posts. I wish you best of luck with the GM Nationals but I know for my dollar I want to be around other Camaro folks.

This car was for sale on E-Bay a few times and I thought it was sold, I guess not. Seems high on the asking price in the current condition and without an engine or trans.

I was reading an article online and the owner Wes Watts indicated the economic downturn of the last three years, along with the credit crisis, contributed to the company’s demise. Hope this helps, an auction is set for July 29th to liquidate all company assets.
