Kurt indicated for every 10 cars that were ordered with black, maybe one was ordered with white. I think I got that right. I'm happy it's white. It makes it so much different than others...Joe

69Z28-RS.
Code is 76E which I like a lot. I like vinyl tops on 69s because of the color separation. The car has no paper work but I know it came with the following
396-325 hp
th400
p/s
pdb
a/c
tach & gauges
console
tilt
custom/deluxe yellow trim 714
special front bumper (still have all the jack parts)
custom belts
I added p/w, sports style trim & the rose wood
I don't know what wheels it left the factory with. I had a picture years ago that the original owner sent me that & it had 14x6 rally wheels which I knew was wrong. A guess is it had plain wheels & the dealer changed them to help sell the car. They had it almost a year.....Joe

This is my X66 car that I've owned since April 1982. It was restored once. At that time it had spoilers, special hood & rally sport. It will return to the way it was originally during restoration. The car has it's born with drivetrain. Sold new in Tucson at Orielly's Chevrolet on July 29, 1970. Released from Norwood September 4th, 1969....Joe

If you want to bring it back to a non RS car, you don't have to change the fenders which would save you some money. You can push back the tabs in the fenders to clear the grill. I did the same thing to my X66 car years ago....Joe

41  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: cowl tags on: November 25, 2013, 06:53:37 AM
There's nothing on the 1968 cowl tag that's indicates it's a SS 350. There would be too many unknowns to make a tag that would be correct...Joe
42  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: I just purchased a 1968 RS/SS on: November 23, 2013, 06:40:14 AM
I agree. I've had my bronze car for 38 years & love the color....& the car. The problem is finding someone who can mix it correctly...Joe

I would bet they were sent where ever they were needed. I have a 68z from LOS & a 69ss from Norwood. Both were sold new at Orielly Chevrolet in Tucson Az....Joe
44  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Re: GM fenders '68 - What are they worth ??? on: October 05, 2013, 08:28:57 PM
I certainly would use those before I went for aftermarket. Those are easy fixes.....Joe
45  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Re: Bumper Jack ratchet color on: October 05, 2013, 07:36:37 AM
I think that's Detroit Diesel blue if that makes you feel any better. The ratchet & the base is light/medium grey on all the 1969 Camaro jacks. Grey hook for chrome bumper & blue for VE3, special bumper....Joe
