31  Orphans - documentation or VIN-stamped drivetrains - in search of the original cars / 1968 - Orphans / Re: 124378N425339 Z28 Window Sticker and Invoice on: June 13, 2013, 09:16:35 PM
Paul
As Ed has mentioned, I purchased them in hope that the car will surface again. I didn't want the seller to think they were junk because nobody wanted them. Ed can contact me via phone or e-mail or anybody here can contact me through this site.
I've contacted a 3rd party title company & they ran the vin with no results which means the car either no longer exists or it hasn't been registered in over 7 years. We'll hope it's not the first part.....Joe

35  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / 1969 Q-jet top on: January 12, 2013, 01:31:44 PM
I have the original Q-jet on my 396 69 ss & during the last carb rebuild I was told the top is warped. I would like to find another top. I see lots of these carbs at the swap meets & possibly some of the tops might be interchangable. Is there a way to find out what other carb numbers came with that same top? My carb is a 7029204. Thanks, Joe

They check the top box on everything they send which indicates "we have the exact match". I finally had to call them & ask them, if you have the exact match, why didn't you send it? They sent me swatches picked by the blind...Joe

My car & another from Los Angeles had these wheels in the trunk. The cars are 15 vin numbers from each other & both are 02E. He purchased his car in 1971 & I purchased mine in 1976....Joe

When you installed the gauges, did you change the temp sender to one for gauges or do you still have the one for the light?
