There's nothing on the 1968 cowl tag that's indicates it's a SS 350. There would be too many unknowns to make a tag that would be correct...Joe

I would bet they were sent where ever they were needed. I have a 68z from LOS & a 69ss from Norwood. Both were sold new at Orielly Chevrolet in Tucson Az....Joe

I think that's Detroit Diesel blue if that makes you feel any better. The ratchet & the base is light/medium grey on all the 1969 Camaro jacks. Grey hook for chrome bumper & blue for VE3, special bumper....Joe

I have a 1969 ss396 & a 1968 z/28. Both are running OEM GM mufflers that I've purchased through the years. I'm a little bias but nothing I've heard sound better. Some of the after market mufflers sound tinny & crackly. Others are just cop callers....Joe

I used clevis pins in mine & put a BB in the vacuum line to the diverter valve. Then gutted the smog pump. Been like that for years no. No problems....Joe

The problem with that is when you're looking at a block or transmission, the vin is not that specific. It may start as 19N or 18L etc. You can't put a finish vin on those as in most cases you wouldn't know what it came out of. DZ & some of the others are obvious...Joe
