196  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Smog equipment or Cowl Plenum on: June 09, 2011, 12:57:59 PM
If the car is pretty much correct now...why modify it? I would never install anything into or on a car today that requires cutting. Just another opinion.

Would like to hear more about what you bought though

I sent you a PM for Rusty Small (smallhurst) on VCCA chat & Yenko site. He can get the tires for you at a great savings. I don't have his e-mail so I gave you a phone number.....Joe

You might want to ask that question on They do gas pump restorations & if Sunoco sponsered it, they probably used their specs. Another place you might try is autocolorlibrary in San Diego....Joe

202  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Black 69 SS stripes on: May 03, 2011, 04:31:27 PM
I tried to research this but didn't find anything. Were black SS striping on a 69 gloss or more like the tail panel of an SS396?
Thanks, Joe

205  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Maintenance / Re: Cam Choice for 69 DZ on: April 18, 2011, 02:48:34 PM
I used to run the "140" cam in a 12.5 302 years ago. My car came with 4.56 gears from the factory. All that said it was irratic. Tried different curves on the dist. It just made no street sence except at the midnight drags. Sounded wild uncorked. The car need more gear to make it work. I think the car was slower after I installed that cam. Went back to the original cam & pistons. Lots more fun & less screwing around with everything. Cam has enough lope to sound good & be mysterios to people today. The ball is in your court. Good luck...Joe

207  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / X codes for LA cars? on: April 04, 2011, 05:20:39 PM
I've seen lots of talk about x codes on Norwood cars & know that the x codes were never used on the trim tags of LA but were any of the LA cars marked below the package tray area with crayon like the Norwood? Joe

Does anybody have the arm stamp numbers for a 68/69 deluxe window regulator? I have a stack of them from other car & I can't remember which ones are correct for the 68/69. I could probably use the numbers for 67 deluxe also. Any help? Thanks, Joe
