Thanks James & Jim. I guess I need to find an 1969 a/c car that hasn't been taken apart...Joe

Originality / 9428047 rivet
« on: November 12, 2020, 07:34:53 PM »
Does anybody have the specs on a 9428047? Is it a pop rivet or something else? In the 1969 AIM, it calls for 2 to hold the heater control valve & 2 to hold a bracket to the fender well that holds the main a/c hose. Ref; C60 D6.5 & C60 D5. The currant part is a pop rivet.Thank you, Joe

Hi Bentley. Here is a link. I went with the recommendation from here. Fit well & the guy doing the seats liked them. Made in the USA....Joe

Originality / clips

I'm putting my 69 back together after paint. These 2 clips were in the bag I had marked a rocker tin so they are the galvanized plates under the carpet & sill plates. Can anybody tell where they went? Maybe held the antenna cable for a rear antenna car? Thank you, Joe

Restoration / Re: 1969 Body Tail Light Wiring Harness, Rally Sport
« on: November 03, 2020, 08:23:03 PM »
I sent my harnesses to AAW so I wouldn't have to go through this problem. There is also some major changes in the starter & headlight harness that had to be done. They even put my original tags back. They're building harnesses to the latest upgrades which isn't what I want for my car. Some of the connectors aren't made like the originals....Joe

In hindsight sending your original wiring to AAW was a brilliant plan, let them sweat transferring the connectors and sockets . Will likely do the same on the next project!
It's probably a walk in the park for them.....Joe

General Discussion / Re: Pace car registry

To update what I posted above:
The db has 650+ 69 pace cars in it with about 70 of those from Van Nuys.
And about 175 Z10's. So much for the people that said there were about 100-150 Z10's built. :)
That collection of facts didn't just happen over night either...Joe

My observation is zinc if it has moldings. Phosphate if it doesn't. It's shown in AIM Z21 A1....Joe

Thanks Jim. I'm probably over thinking this. It could be as simple as 2 manufactures. I was just looking for other input...Joe
