General Discussion / Re: NCRS Report
« on: January 12, 2021, 03:45:57 PM »
9N677163 08E 1969
NCRS date 8/28/1969
MSO date 9/4/1969 KN15878

I guess I should've noted that this car didn't sell until 7/29/1970. I was guessing this car might've been a dealer demo.
Probably had to find the right person for a yellow interior car :)

General Discussion / Re: 1968 302 emblems to Z28 emblems ?
« on: January 12, 2021, 02:33:10 PM »
My 02D Norwood car originally had '302' on the fenders from old pictures I managed to get - unfortunately a later owner changed them in 1980 to the later Z2/8 version and the holes created by doing so prevented changing back easily or else I would have..
Lol, common I guess as first owner of our 68 did same thing and pic he gave me from 1970 shows them off. When that original owner came to see car at 2017 Camaro Nationals guess what, he gave me the original 302 emblems. Glad he saved everything like when he sent me bill of sale etc from Feb. 1968....
That's cool....Joe

Here's some examples

8L332247 02E
NCRS date 3/13/1968
Ship date 3/15/1968 (shipper's invoice)
Date of execution 3/18/1968 (shipper's invoice KL193--)

8L332262 02E
NCRS date 3/13/1968
MSO date 3/18/1968 KL19379
I'm guessing the date of execution is the date it was billed to the receiving dealer

9N677163 08E 1969
NCRS date 8/28/1969
MSO date 9/4/1969 KN15878

I don't know if any of this might help...Joe

Originality / 1969 antenna cable clips
« on: January 07, 2021, 03:56:28 PM »
Does anybody know what the antenna cable retainer clips look like for a 69? There is supposed to be one on each side of the glove box lid behind the dash. I either misplaced mine or I don't know what I'm looking for. Thank you, Joe

If all my numbers are right but go backwards on the 9N569987 to 9N561885 is approxamately 2 weeks. So then about end 2nd or begining 3rd week December? That then puts it right on cowl production date of 12B. Then if my calculations of 18  69 which is 41/2 weeks comes out to Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov, 1/2 Dec  would fall roughly into my 12B build date. Don't know if I did my calculations right but looks like begining of 3rd week on vin? Now that I'm starting to slightly figure it out with everyones help it starts to make cense. Thanks all for excercising my brain.  ;D

Lots to learn here. Keep reading & watching....Joe
