Originality / Re: 69 SS hood underhood pictures
« on: August 18, 2021, 04:06:53 AM »
Got the hood home, finally took out of the truck.Took the louvers out. Has the alignment hole, doesn't have the tabs or the 3 small drain holes as shown in previous pictures from Ed. Doesn't match what is shown in the 69 Camaro AIM. Had the #1 chrome ornaments L &R.H. , #3927469-70, #3 3927468 screens (2), #4 3927471-2  Plate L. & R.H., 11 of the 12 nut #9419756. Does not have the #3 3898146 Seal (2), #6 3903974 TUBE-DRAIN (2) ,that goes in the holes that are not in this hood. Still looking for a GM original hood for my 69 SS. Thanks to all. Good luck on all your projects

Yes Pontiac engine have VINS in 69.
The customer of mine on the L78 pace car recently bought a 69 TA which lost 7 points at the Pontiac Nationals I will see if he will chime in here.

7 points out of how many? For non "born with" engine?
Thank you, Joe

Any modification from factory correct restoration isn't factory correct. Only you can decide what you want...Joe

Not winning. Thanks for asking. They were in Tucson sun for many hours before installing them. Once they cooled down they returned to the way they were before. Joe

Am I missing something here? The assm manual calls for a nut & lock washer. In 1981, that's what my car had/has. Still has the OE sender.....Joe

My 69 396 car with gauges has threaded connection. I would think yours is the same. It's the gauge & the sender that have to match....Joe
