It looks as though I will need to get a replacement gas tank for the 69 396 car. Doubtful I can find a NOS tank. Are there any on the replacement market that are restoration correct? Thank you, Joe

Originality / 4939899 fan clutch????

I have 2 fan clutches stamped 4939899. One is 041-69 & the other is 218-69. Is this a number that was used for a Camaro? Looked on the internet but nothing definitive....Thank you, Joe

I read somewhere about the adj brackets for a 1968 z/28 being attached to the alternator differently between Los Angeles & Norwood but I can't find that post. Can anybody help me find that discussion please? Thank you, Joe

General Discussion / Stolen 1967 Camaro Convertable

In search of a 1967 black Chevrolet Camaro, convertible. This vehicle was kidnapped from its owner in Reno, Nevada in August of 2014. It was last licensed with a Nevada plate 674 NRE, with VIN 124677L141869. The vehicle is sorely missed by its owner and information that would lead to its return would be greatly appreciated. It was last thought to be in the vicinity of Anaheim or possibly Hemet, California. The vehicle was last seen being driven by a Hispanic female in her mid-30's in the Reno area, any clues, please let me know.

Restoration / 1969 Q-jet top

I have the original Q-jet on my 396 69 ss & during the last carb rebuild I was told the top is warped. I would like to find another top. I see lots of these carbs at the swap meets & possibly some of the tops might be interchangable. Is there a way to find out what other carb numbers came with that same top? My carb is a 7029204. I posted this in the orphan section & then was looking on the internet for this vin number & there seems to be some discussion about this car from the past. It was indicated this VIN is from December. If this is true, than that means another restamp. Any thoughts?
