ED, I really appreciate the interchange info concerning the specific Firebirds and Novas. I knew some of this was probably good info, but didn't know all the rest also applied.  I've checked several GM shop manuals, but it's extremely hard finding anything that goes back that far in time, and is an original document, and not a reprint.   Thanks, Merv

Thanks for your input.  I'm going to do some more 'archive searching' and will report back what, if anything I find out.  Merv

Currently restoring a '67 '4p' car that is all original GM(above trim tag). Pics of the Camaro are too big to post--got to figure out how to reduce them. Just updated to 'Windows 7' and I'm kinda lost for now.  Merv

Thank you KurtS and JohnW. for your input. The Camaro Forum on cooling systems is not informative at all about other than '67-'69 Camaro models and their specific engine. The 6cyl., the 327, the 350 and the 396 came in Chevy II's & Novas(in the same hp ratings that were in the Camaros).  All I was asking about was that "did radiators of the same dimensions, thicknesses, and physical appearances" also come, or were available in, ChevyII's('66 & '67), or in Novas('68-'72), because of 'over runs' and were carried over to '70 & '71 Camaros.  I have heard, but not physically seen in a car, that this is true. Checking old Chevrolet Parts Manuals however indicate that this was an option, possibly only used on a replacement basis at Chevrolet agencies(ie.- 375hp/396ci Novas).

In addition, were ALL '67-'69 Camaro radiators 'embossed' with the "HARRISON" logo(ie.- COPO cars). The reproduction attempt of the "HARRISON" name is not very close to the original, and leaves room for some improvement.

Were the '67-'69 CAMARO "Harrison"(21"-23" and 2"-2 3/4 thick) radiators found in other GM cars??  The '68-'72 Nova has the about the same sub frame, is it possible that these same radiators were also discovered in these Novas also??  However, I don't think the core support is the same on the top side of the Nova(considering only the area covering the radiator attachment).  Is it also possible some of the earlier Chevy II's('66 & '67 had these CAMARO radiators??  I don't think any of these '67-69 CAMARO radiators were carried over to the 2nd Gen(only the '70 & '71 Camaros.  Any help or pictures please.

The Camaro Original GM Radiator Support vs. a 'reproduction' radiator support---I know there are 'square' holes in the GM support for flanged, square 5/16" nuts to fit in---and the reproduction has regular hex 5/16 nuts. The GM suppors seem to have more profound stamping lines/creases in ithem compared to the reproduction models. My questions are:   1. Are there any 'identifying' numbers stamped in the GM support??   2. If so, where are the numbers located??   3. If so, do the numbers refer to the week of that particular year??

Great pictures JohnZ. Thank you---I've missed it for years. Mine is a '68 06D Camaro. It's just stamped with a '6'.  What does that mean??  And what does your '46' mean?? Thanks again, Merv-------Besides restoration, we're going racing again tonight shortly with another '68--it's on website http://www.ScottsRandR.com

Thanks, now I know. I'm really catching up with all the latest phrases-ha, ha-------I know the hood has numbers on it, and the valance has 'identifying' ribs(on the originals), but does the header panel have anything 'identifying' marks, ribs, etc., or any numbers stamped on it??   Merv

What does 'SWAG' stand for?? I'm an old guy who hasn't kept up with all the new terms. If there is a 'date' stamp, where would it be?? On the backside or on the 'folded' down edges??
