Hi Guys, Is there a book out there that has step by step assembly instructions and all the correct part numbers for a 68 Camaro 302 MO motor?

There's a 1111467 68 Camaro Z/28 distributor on e-bay for $850 which is a fairly lost price. Anyone like to comment on it!

Thanks to all for your help....I must admit that the 1200 mi trip was to Florida for vacation and then a side trip to see the heads, so the trip was two fold. I currently have a set of 291's, both are original 2.02's but one is original that came with my 04A build Z with correct date and the other is a replacement with a date that doesn't match the build date. The heads in question are both date correct, mid to late March 68. Engine assembly date 0329.

Hi All; I'm about to take a 1200 mile trip to check out a pair of 3917291 68 Z/28 2:02 heads that are date matched to my 68 04a built z/28. I don't have a lot of time, so I can't take them to a machine shop to have them professionaly checked out, so I need some advice as to what to look for as far as potential problems.

Thanks
Pete

Correction, the seller cofirmed that the 532ccw was stamped under the weight plate. So it looks like only the vaccume advance has been replaced. 99% original???

OK, the 12c build date is December of 67, the 68's came out Sept/Oct of 67. The 3970010 engine came out Apr/May of 69 and the pad numbers reflect this. The V0513CMH is a crate motor code I believe. CM=crate motor h=holley.

There's a lot of 'wrongs' on the motor, water pump bypass, temp sensor, oil fill tube, alternator bracket and on and on.

If build date is Dec 68 then that would be for a 69.

Well the 1111266 on EBAY went for $1200+. Now there's a 1111467 listed item # 200839892567, stating original but vaccume advance replaced and no numbers under the weights(532ccw).

Thats the same seller! Does anyone know anything about this seller? Some time back it was mentioned that someone in west Tenneesee was a 'master' at forgeries.
