If a 3923289-DZ 4053 carb was dated 811, would  that be 68 model year or year carb was produced? If a next (69) year model was built in Aug of 68 would the carb be dated with an 8 or 9?

I'm going through my parts box, for my 68 camaro z/28, and I found the gray tipped dipstick but I also found two tubes. One is curved and one is straight, does anyone know if the correct tube is curved or straight? I read abunch of posts about dipsticks but the correct dipstick is only as good as the correct tube. PJ

« on: March 13, 2010, 12:13:42 AM »
I have a 3932386 block dated I68, with a pad stamp of V0910XK. I believe this is a is a 69 block 350 4 bolt and I think it's a truck block. Can anyone verify my findings? Also on my Munci tranny there's a metal tag attached to the lower left bolt of the cover, and with out removing the bolt to see all the numbers, the numbers 915085 are stamped on it, any ideas?
