Restoration / Re: restamped distributor
« on: April 24, 2010, 05:44:01 AM »
I've just spent the last 6 months researching the history of my 69 Z28. Like most Z28,s of that era it was driven hard with not much concern about original parts, but what survived was the drivetrain.
I can't afford buying all original nos parts, dist., alt. starter, etc., but I can afford a restamped part. I would never pass any restamped part as original. I didn't mean to mislead any of the CRG members with my post.

Originality / Wanting original owner info
« on: April 24, 2010, 05:06:20 AM »
I'm searching for the original owner of my 1969 Z28. I have found most of the previous owners (mostly in Janesville, WI area) but found it originally came from Milwaukee, WI area. The car was originally Hugger Orange with white stripes, black interior, no center console, rare center fuel gauge . The car was purchased by the second owner at either a repossession lot or as a stolen recovery. I would like to complete the owner history of my baby. I also was wondering about whether the original owner had a cross ram on it at one time, as it doesn't now. Thanks for any help you can provide

General Discussion / 1969 Z28 - selling dealer?

Working on locating the original owner of my 69 Z28, tracked it down to the person that had it in 1970, one more person to find ! It's not easy but through a little detective work on my own I was able to use the internet to do all of my search. Try a website called Zabasearch  I found everyone I was looking for because of that site, (one person at a time). Start with the last known person that owned it and search for the them on that site. Good Luck
