16  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: Parts found from the Original owner of my 1969 Z/28 on: April 23, 2014, 06:32:43 AM
That is the correct front tag holder for a 69 Camaro with the "C" stamping. The AAC stamping is also another marking but mostly seen on the 67 68 Front Tag Holder. It seems to appear later in the 69 production year again.

Chick,
He finally got it! Good for him and a nice one at that. Can you answer me the following three questions or I can notify him personally and view the car if need be.
1. Are the door strikers allen head or torx
2. Does it have the higher RPM Tach or standard 6-8 Tach
3. The exhaust bracket on the left frame rail. Does it have the two knotches "one on the top and one on the bottom" or does it go straight across. Thanxs Dave

20  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: 69 Z/28 Barn Find?? on: January 24, 2014, 02:01:54 PM
I believe
Interesting to note that the vin stamped on the trans is one digit off of the cars vin.
I believe it's a typo. The trans VIN Matches the title and the code on the Protecto Plate. He has the correct VIN documented in the box with the vehicle's description. However, the narrative of the description is incorrect.
I also noticed that the Protecto Plate shows the rearend coded for BV; 410 gears and he describes it as 3.70

That VIN and date don't line up very well. The VIN is for a late Camaro (Oct 69) and the trans is stamped May 7, 1969 according to this posting.
23  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: 68 Z28 on the CRG Home Page on: November 08, 2013, 08:10:36 AM
Yes, thats my Z/28. I've owned it since August 1968. I had it completly restored in 2007. It's pretty much like it came from the factory. You can see more pictures at: 1968camaroz28rallysport.shutterfly.com The 55 belongs to my cousin. Thanks for the compliments.

Larry,
If you ever consider selling it please contact me.

I have this M21 Muncie Transmission that came out of a 1969 Camaro and I would like to re-unite with the car. If this is not possible then I will sell it.
Main Case: 660
Vin: 19N615089
Stamped Date: P9A14 B
26  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 1969 Oil Pressure Gauge Block Sender Fitting on: July 20, 2013, 07:21:47 PM
My looks something like that but a little different. Mine has a male end on both sides of the fitting vs a female end on the oil line side.

That is not the normal bolt for that bracket on a NOR car
28  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: Valve stems for Rally Wheels on: June 09, 2013, 07:57:43 AM
Chick,
When you get a chance look at the original YH spare that Skip was selling. It has my style of cap. Maybe Steve Shauger can chime in, I'm sure he knows since he  judges original cars and possibly has come across this before.

The Dill might be considered correct only because they don't have the originals or know what they look like. Cap #1 is CORRECT!
