I myself have a late 11A car with 660 case and drain plug

FWIW, the assembly line inspection covers were natural.

Only the back side was natural. The outside portion of the inspection cover is painted orange and or over-sprayed. Here is an original early take off as an example.

I've only ever seen a very small light blue dot and or dab at the very top (Inspection Mark)

For reference, here's a set of 69 flat/coupe baffles on eBay right now

 

Those were mine and they have been sold. I do have two more sets. I also sold a set of 67 / 68 a couple of months back on Ebay.
