That VIN and date don't line up very well. The VIN is for a late Camaro (Oct 69) and the trans is stamped May 7, 1969 according to this posting.

Yes, thats my Z/28. I've owned it since August 1968. I had it completly restored in 2007. It's pretty much like it came from the factory. You can see more pictures at: 1968camaroz28rallysport.shutterfly.com The 55 belongs to my cousin. Thanks for the compliments.

Larry,
If you ever consider selling it please contact me.

My looks something like that but a little different. Mine has a male end on both sides of the fitting vs a female end on the oil line side.

Chick,
When you get a chance look at the original YH spare that Skip was selling. It has my style of cap. Maybe Steve Shauger can chime in, I'm sure he knows since he  judges original cars and possibly has come across this before.

The Dill might be considered correct only because they don't have the originals or know what they look like. Cap #1 is CORRECT!

Charley,
Are your washers built in are do they come off and also what is the head marking "M'?. Your looks like what I have seen on 69 model years and the pic posted by Jon Mello seen on 67 radio delete plate.

The ACC on the front tag bracket was on later production. Mostly all front tag brackets have a "C" stamping on either side of the lower mounting tabs, where it bolts to the valance. The same goes for the rear tag holders. The earlier holders have the 608 part number towards the center and the later has it up higher with the ACC stamping also.

Cap #1 is the factory assembly line original. Cap #2 is your every day seen cap.
