Paul

1968RSZ28,
Is this a restored car or an original 1968 photo? The reason I'm asking is because the ink stamp on the diverter valve and also the battery doesn't appear to have the ENERGIZER wording and the lack of yellow paint on the DELCO.

Chick,
The Hill Climb might have been in New Jersey, but not sure. I can asked the original owner, who is 70 years old for I'm still in contact with him. I remember him telling me that he did it for fun and not a serious racer.

The other two pictures are circa 1971 with the owner's cousin in the pictures.

General Discussion / 68 Z/28
« on: December 18, 2016, 11:35:28 PM »
Here is a picture sent to me from the original owner of my 68 Z (Circa Aug 1968). The car is roughly three months old and the owner was racing / hill climbing with it.

More pictures of the engine compartment:

RS Washer bottle zinc screws.

Let Skip know if he needs the plastic caps for the screw ends to give me a call.

I have seen both Feb and March, never a January on a March car that late.

Originality / Re: 1967 Camaro Dash Pads

The seven might be a very early dash pad. My June 67 Z28 has only the four mounting studs.

Originality / Re: Rear seatbelt delete?
« on: February 22, 2016, 02:58:25 PM »
Has anyone heard of rear seatbelts being an option, or left out? I have no rear belts, but I do have bolts and they are sealed by what appears to be factory sealant/caulk. I bought it in '77, and it was virtually unmolested (except for headers and smog-pump removal) with 59k on the clock

I have a 67 Z28 and it also didn't have rear seat belts.  However, the bolts weren't installed the holes were sealed over with the factory caulk.

I've always seen the tape on the floor board only.

My survivor 68 Z/28 has the flat handle with the gray tip and its a June build. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year......Dave

P.S. I brought the car home today after being garaged at my buddies house since March when I purchased it.
