Anybody know of this car? I sold it in 2011 and trying to run it down. It had 28,000 miles with original paint.

Sorry for the late reply James,

The car had a Dana rear end when I purchased it. I found an original 67 12 bolt rear end with the factory right side traction bar bracket that I’ll use. Planning on rebuilding this rear end with 4:88 gears.

I’ve used black base and added a flattening agent to the clear urethane (I have the percentage written down somewhere) to replicate the factory sheen. It’s durable and easy to clean

Hey James, it did not have the heater block off plates when I purchased the car. The second owner installed a used heater assy. during the time he was driving it on the street. The heater delete plates were gone however, I did purchase a used factory set that I found on eBay. I had asked Jon that question regarding the block offs and You’re right, they were some type of paperboard.

The owner was charged for the CP. LOL. He never saw it, it was not in the car at the time of the purchase.

James,
The original owner said the car did not come with the Cowl Plenum and the cowl was never cut as you can see from the photo, which is odd.

Hey Jon,
I talked to the original owner Mike after I saw you in Chicago, he informed me that he only dropped a valve in the engine without doing any damage to the block. So he sold it with the original engine.
Yes I’ve started the restoration and acquiring parts as I go.

In 2017 I found a 67 Z-28 after years of searching that a friend purchased new here in Ga; it sold in 68 to another local friend who took it off of the street, installed a 427 and from there was a dedicated drag car. In the process of doing a full restoration and looking for the original engine which was in great condition when sold.

Thanks I’ll check those out.

I want to replace the engine and headlight wiring harness on my 1967 Z28. What manufacturer makes the best factory correct wiring harness?

Jon
Do you think this cardboard block off would be the same material used on the package trays?
 It looks similar.
