Guys Clem posted this 2 years ago according to the clock on the first post. He's probably got rid of it by now or he might not visit the MB anymore.

If all he says is true where is the POP? Wrong jack and in my opinion wrong spare. I'd have to look at it real close to believe the sales pitch.

Dave I don't know if it will help but you might need to massage the seat backs. Remember mine was on a boat so they got sat in and the dimples came out with use. Your seat might need to be "sat in" to move the covers around to help get the dimples out. I hope I didn't confuse you.  Does it make sense?

Hey Chick when did Knoch start doing '69 stuff? I ask him to do some work for me and he said he only did '67 and '68.

Replacement, if you go that way, is best from Legendary Auto Interiors.  Their website is HERE

Maintenance / Re: muncie trans

Are you positively sure you have aligned the shifter? I used a nail just a millionth too small and had the same problem. Found the right dowel pin and aligned it again. No more problems.

If anybody needs an NOS under hood light for Nationals Judging I have one still in the box with paperwork and directions for '68 and '69.

Originality / Re: Another ebay 69 with fake tag
« on: June 14, 2013, 02:35:47 PM »
Guys I'm not a CRG member nor the trim tag police but if you want to discuss what's wrong with a tag please do it thru PM and not on open forum. Now all this guy has to do is take his tag and modify just a touch since he knows what's wrong. Go ahead and give me some backlash but I had to be reminded a couple times myself so don't take it personal.

When you say "they came back out when the sun got on it," are you refering to the dimples like my seats have now?
Yes Dave the dimples came out and you couldn't tell they were there after they got warm.

I'm with Phillip on this one. I've had boat seats look this bad and all I ever done to it was clean them with Mean Green and put 303 Aerospace Protectant on it. They always came back out when the sun got on it and got a little warm. Here's a link.  303 Protectant

Restoration / Re: 1969 Z exhaust and smog systems
« on: June 12, 2013, 01:42:10 AM »
Bryan I put my original exhaust manifolds back on my car and plugged the holes where the smog tubes went. I couldn't find a date coded setup when I finished my car so I let it go. If I were in your shoes I would put the manifolds on and plug the holes like I did. Later on down the road when you can afford to spend money on it you can put the smog system back on. This way you have your manifolds and your new exhaust already on. Then all you need to do is bolt your smog system on and you won't have to spend more money getting another new exhaust system to replace the headers.  I'm assuming you are replacing the pipes and reusing the headers. If you put headers back on it's throwing good money after bad if you want to put it back with original manifolds later on.

Found this on eBay and the seller told me he can't find anything by the filter for VIN. Someone might coach him thru it and help find it. It's a M code casting if that is interest to anybody.

After you get them installed a feller would have to be on his best game to tell the difference. In reality I don't think you could after they are installed.
