Originality / Re: Wiper blade refills

These are the blades you can get from NAPA for about $9. They have the refills for about $5 a pair which I haven't got before. I may pick up a set to see what they look like. These blades certainly aren't assembly line correct but look and work great on my drivers.

John

That's what I bought for my car and posted such on page 1. They look just like the original to me.

If you want the best power steering on your car buy a steering box from Cardone for a 85-89 IROC Camaro and put it on. Use your original pump and buy a kit to put metric hoses on. I forgot the guys name that has the kits but I'm sure somebody will come by and post it or you can do a search. I did this upgrade and wouldn't even think about going back to the old gearbox.

I made a mistake on this. You use your original hoses and need the inserts for the pump because they are metric. Yes you do have to change the coupling.

First what is wrong with the wipers? Do you want handles to have re-chromed?

Auto Custom Carpets is best. The firewall pad has a thread here so do a search on it and you can look for the best one in that thread. I forget the name or place of purchase.

I bought replacements and they fit great for me. I would use them again. I also bought the kick panels and console. They were black and I did paint those and the paint I used came from HeartBeat City. I washed it down with grease and wax remover then painted. Several light coats and that way you don't fill in the texture.

You can swap the top parts from the donor over to yours and make it work. Shouldn't be too much work to do but I would definitely use your original column.

Mike do a search. There is a thread here that is devoted to shafts and color combo. Matter of fact I just read an update to it today.

You'll find semi, full, 30%, 60% gloss and the list goes on for the parts and bolts of these cars. If you have something specifically in mind ask or you can get Jerry's book and it has a list in the back for a lot of the different pieces and shades. Also search will do wonders because all this has been discussed here time and time again.

That Green is almost as bad as Black when it comes to dirty and water spots ain't it?

Your part number is 33-150 for Trico Refills

Looks like 33-150 is the whole blade and 43-150 is a pair of refills.

Yeah I  fat fingered it and I do that on occasion.

Decoding/Numbers / Re: 69 Brake hose dates
« on: July 07, 2013, 02:42:12 AM »
Is it safe to assume that the brake hose dates would range from 0 to 3+ weeks prior to the body build date?

When I was building my car I was given information that things like this could be as far as 90 days out. Remember these weren't made just for new car assembly but as replacements for cars already on the road.

Are you saying no bodybroad cast sheets have been found in Norwood cars?

Yep
