Thanks Kurt,

I did e-mail the gentleman that was selling it and he stated:    (I bought it from a dealer that bought it from a guy that bought it from his friend who had imported it from Venezuela. From what i was told, it was kept in a garage up until the dealer bought it).

I think your right Paul. Putting those two tags next to each other and they look an awful lot alike. You don't see too many of those around.

What's up with the trim tag on this Camaro? Is it a foreign produced car or just a bad reproduction.

I believe there for the exhaust manifold bolts. They keep them from loosening up?

Yes it does. It's a late Nov. casting and the car is a 12B. I would like to know what gearing the rear end came with.

325  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / 69 Rear End Code Stamping on: October 13, 2010, 10:02:41 AM
Hey Guys,
Has anyone come across or heard of an original rear end that didn't have code stamping on a rear end? I have a 69 Z28 (12B Build date) And for the death of me I can't find any stamping on the axel tube. I've seen pictures of where it's suppose to be. Got under there with a flash light and cleaned the old paint off and can't seem to find it any where. I know the rear end is original to the car. I've owned it for 35 years. Any ideas?  Thanks, Rick

The letter "C" is for blue vinyl top.

Hi Guys,  I have a 12B 69 Z28 with a 388 block with a casting date in Nov. Has anyone seen one this early. It's an LA car. I'm not sure if that matters.

If you do go ahead with the project I'd be interested in a 69 deluxe set.
Thanks, Rick
