Where are the date codes located on these radiators.

Mark, How would you know that a 7801149 pump is correct or not for a 69 Z28. I know they have the deep grooved pulley, but if it didn't have the pulley are there other numbers on it? Does the date code help?

Here is a pic of the number on the back of the pump. It's a April 24th 69 date code. I'm looking for a Nov. 68 pump if someone might have one to trade.

Sound like a great event. Why are all the hi end car shows back east? Well that's the price I pay for living on the west coast. In a few years when I can retire I'll be able to hit all of those big car shows. Until then I'll just live off all the stories and pictures the rest of you post on this site. I will tell you I get jealous. Thanks, and keep the info. coming.

Thanks for the "Posting Pics" class Marty. It clears up allot of my confusion.

I think there's a mentality out there that someone see's a (let say a 480 Dist.) for sale for a certain price. And tells them self well the one I have is twice as good so I'm going to ask twice the price. And it just escalates from there. I would hope with the falling car prices the parts would follow. But there are a lot of greedy people out there.

I know the feeling. I've been hunting for a set of AD's for quite some time too. Like a needle in a hay stack.

It's amazing what some people are wanting for those 480 distributor. The last couple of years I've seen the price go up from $500 - $600 up to $2000 -$2500. Are they worth it? I guess if you have money burning a hole in your pocket. It makes me sick that I pulled one out 30 years ago and probable through it in the trash. Oh well. You live and learn.

rat427, Have you seen the "X" under the trim tag on any LA built cars or just Norwood?

Yes it is a pretty nice rack Jon. Someone went to a lot of work building that and the engraving on the plaques. But you have to agree that the best way to display these parts (if there original) would be on a 69 Z. It will be interesting to see what all that goes for.

I know the feeling. 35 years and counting. The time just has to be right.
