Thanks everyone, and yes I know what this weather can do to you. I live outside of KC, and it finally starting to melt. till got about 10" from drifting in front of my garage door. I found a couple of 284 water pumps on e-bay. Prices seem ok, but when the seller, Goathill Classics came up, I remembered a post from several years back advising doing cash and carry only with them. The e-bay rating seems good, but has anyone done any recent bussiness with them? Again, thanks to all.   Smiley
19  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Correct Dated Water Pump for 67 L-35 on: February 13, 2014, 01:28:39 PM
Like a lot of folks around the country I've spent a lot of time cleaning up and detailing my car. The engine was rebuilt in 87 by the 3rd owner. The water pump was replaced and while I have the car apart I'd like to find a correct 284 water pump. I've seen several on E-bay and was wondering what would be the correct time frame for the date on the pump.  My engine pad is T0106MY, so maybe Nov-Dec 66 time frame?? Any help would be appreciated.   Smiley

Bob,  Thanks for the pictures. Thats the part. With the paint off the mounting bracket, it looks just about like yours. Thanks again.   Smiley

I am doing some underhood clean up and paint and was wondering what the correct finish is for the T-400 switch bracket? It was black, and I blasted it back to bare metal. Just wondering what finish it should be. Thanks.    Smiley

Im 63. We have just one camaro in our family. The kids are all off with families of their own now, and my grandkids are not really into cars. Pity, thats ok, the wife and I will try to stay in our 20's as long as we can. And now that we're both retired, we can enjoy the car hobby even more.   Wink  Happy holidays everyone.

Hey Mike.

Got to love all those changes and updates. Keeps everyone on their toes. I see in the AIM, L-35, sec A7; the page date is 11-30 showing a 7027211 carb. The service bulletin for that carb wasn't until June of 67?Huh?? Got to love it.  Thanks again for all the info. I still have a lot to learn about my car.   Smiley

Mike, Thanks for that info. When I bought my car back in 95, it had a two piece rod on it. Just thought someone had replaced it, so I got a one piece like shown in the 67 AIM, L-35, sheet A-11. I have to get the two piece out ad get it back on. Do you know about when the switch over time was?? Just curious. Thanks again, this site is great.   Smiley

I received my 7027210 carb from Custom Rebuilt Carbs. Very nice piece. I did learn a couple of things about this carb I didn't know. Speaking with Phil, he told me that on this carb , the throttle rod connects to the carb directly without going through the rubber gromit, and plastic sleeve. On the other side, the choke rod needs to be bent to match up with the linkage. I know my engine bay is going to need some good cleaning before this new carb goes on. Again, great work and great folks to talk to.  Cheesy

I have found a couple of carbs at Custom Rebuilt Carbs that  I think might work for my car. I would like to get some input on which would be the "more" correct. There are 2, 7027200, one dated L6 and one H6. The other is a 7027210, dated B7. Would any of these work for a 02E built L-35 automatic. Thanks, Christmas is comming.   Cheesy
