Decoding/Numbers / SS Horn Button
« on: January 29, 2013, 10:33:57 PM »
I replaced the steering wheel on my 67 L-35. The horn button was an SS, with part # 3905582. From the forums here the SS button was never used in 67. I did put a correct standard horn button on. I was just wondering what the usage was for the SS cap. Thanks   :)

Restoration / Re: Passenger Seat Cable
« on: November 07, 2012, 06:51:34 PM »
Gave AKM a call today. I referenced their part # G-5376, which turns out to be only the two bolts. I also gave them the GM part numbers I found on another web page.

  Sect 11.381

  Cable: #7726498
  Screw: #8760228
  Spacer:(finish washer): #7674659

They could not cross reference anything they had to the spacer and screw number.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks    ???

When we got our car there was a box of misc. in the trunk. The cable was there and one of the bolts, but no finish washer. The bolts are availabe at Camaro Central. Does anyone have any info on where a finish washer can be found?    ???

pjbizjak, Bummer, I 'm leaving for Florida later this afternoon, and will be gone about 2 weeks. If its not too late when I get back, I'll be happy to go look. I'm not much of an engine guy, but I can get some pictures for you.   :)

If I had a dollar for everyone on those, Id be looking for a 69 COPO or ZL-1 with cash in hand.  Im outside, but Ft Leavenworth did build their new jail right across the street.   ;D

General Discussion / Re: Looking for Dealership Information

I made a call to Bozarth Chevrolet a while back, not much help. From what I read on line, Central Chevrolet was owned by Charles Wilsea and Les Shellabarger.  Shellabarger must have bought out Wilsea, and built a new dealership in 1968?  Found some dealer #, zone # information for Shellabarger Chevrolet on a Chevelle website. I have had some e-mail correspondence with a couple of newspapers in Grand Junction, and they are looking through their archives for articles, pictures, etc.  The search goes on.   :)  This is like looking for that one last part that you need for your car!!!!

General Discussion / Looking for Dealership Information
« on: June 23, 2012, 05:22:55 PM »
I am trying to find any information about the Chevy dealer that originally sold my 67 L-35. The paper work I have shows Central Chevrolet Company, 235 Main, Grand Junction, CO.  Car was sold to original owner on 7-7-67. Anyone out there in the Grand Junction area remember this dealership? Thanks   :)

Hey Maroman,     Saw a car with your combination several years ago at  the camaro show in KC.  It's a nice looking combo, really liked the bench seat.

« on: June 09, 2012, 02:06:44 PM »
I read on another camaro website regarding production numbers. I am trying to get an L-35, T-400 breakdown.

 Number of L-35's : 4003

 Number of M-40's : 1453

 Number of L-35/M-40 /K-19 about : 430?

 Number of L-35/M-40 : 1023

Do these numbers look somewhat correct? I'm trying to get a feel of how many of these cars are left out there.   Thanks
