6-cylinder Camaros / Front Swaybar
« on: April 25, 2010, 12:07:50 PM »
I have just noticed that my early 67 six cylinder car has no front sway bar fitted. From what I can see of the bounting bracket holes in the subframe have never had a bolt fitted to them. Is this a common thing?

Thanks
Al

6-cylinder Camaros / Oil Filter
« on: April 04, 2010, 06:32:51 AM »
Can anybody please help with what is the correct oil filter part number for a early 67 250 engine. Should it be a PF-25. Some of the parts catalogues show a PF25 but else where On this forum I'sure I read that a PF25 didn't start until 1969?

There seems to be a couple of different colours for these filters. Should it be Blue or White

Which one of the two listings below would be correct.

General Discussion / 1969 Detroit Motor Show cutaway car
« on: March 23, 2010, 10:54:05 AM »
Does any body have any photos of the rotating stand which the cutaway display car sat on. The basic photo's published in books are not enough.

I found the car here in a wrecking yard in Australia in 1999 and I "may" have found the stand that goes with it. A lot of the stories surrounding  the stand seem to match up but would like to try and verify it some way.

I believe the car ended up at Rick's First Gen. Can anybody varify where it is now and who own's it?

Thanks

6-cylinder Camaros / Front Springs
« on: March 09, 2010, 07:49:11 AM »
Thanks guys for finally getting a specific 6cyl discusssion area underway.

I have a early 67 production 6cyl coupe with a 250 & 2spd auto. I hope somebody may be able to assist in helping me understand why this car appears to have the wrong front springs in it from new (based on AIM information)

The springs in the car are YZ

All help is appreciated.

Alastair

Restoration / Weather shield sealant

Can any body advise what the original grey sealant / caulking is for the paper weather shields behind the door and rear side trims. It appears to be used in a number of places around the body.

Thanks

General Discussion / 250 L22 6cyl parts required
« on: July 01, 2009, 10:58:01 AM »
Where can I buy parts unique to a 6cyl engine????????

I have recently purchased a 1967 250 cu in coupe. The car is remarkably original with around 87k miles. I only need a small number of unique 6cyl parts (Fuel line from pump to carby and smog diverter valve) but nobody seems to list to much for a 6cyl. I know its not a popular engine and most find them boring, but the car is to original to butcher and turn into a clone/tribute or just a hot rod. Does any body know of where I could get these parts.

The only things that have been modified is the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carby, the smog pump diverter valve has been removed and hoses blocked of, and it has a set of early American Racing wheels on it, which will be replaced. Its not pristine, just been used and looked after.
