Decoding/Numbers / partial Vin number

Good news for me. I've owned my Camaro for 40 years and finally found my partial Vin numbers after a pulled the motor out. Had to use a magnifying glass and a bright led light. I've tried for years to find the numbers while the motor was in the car. Damn near impossible. So have patience and good luck to all you people out there in Camaro land.

Mild Modifications / 302 with 750 double pumper

Has anyone tried to run a holley 750 mech. secondary double pumper (#4779) on a 302? I need to replace my carburetor and I'm wondering if I should stay with the 750 double pumper or go back to the original style 4053 vacuum secondary. Engine is bored .030 over, 11.1 compression, MSD ignition, headers, and will be installing a 140 cam soon.
Have a slight hesitation with the double pumper, but really comes on strong. I would like to hear some opinions. Does anyone think the double pumper is a better carb?

Restoration / Derby hubcap paint

Hi there, I have some black paint missing from my Derby style hubcaps and would like to know the correct color black to use to repaint them. Also have some paint missing from my quarter panel side louvers. It looks like flat black to me but I want to be sure.

Originality / correct shifter for 1969

My original shifter is long gone, about 25 years ago I replaced it with a Hurst unit. I would like to put a close to original one back in. I have a console, so I need a good fit. I've seen two different shifter numbers. A 3128 and a 3138. Which one is correct and is there any difference between the two?
