31  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Mild Modifications / Re: 1969 350 RS header recommendations on: March 12, 2013, 11:24:00 AM
Lot's of good headers available.  Check over at camaros.net for many posts on this subject.  A common problem with aftermarket headers in Gen 1's with small block. is clearance at the steering box.

How about offering a choice of white or blue shirts?

if you are going to swap 4 speeds, keep in mind some of the bolt ons may need to change also.  Example: does your current speedo cable connect to the left or right side of the xmsn (may not be correct for 68 if you have a mid 60's Muncie or ?), may need a different back up light switch, etc.
35  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: Nickey Cragar center hubs on: December 31, 2012, 04:47:31 PM
Saw some Cragar rims on a Baldwin camaro that had spinners (3 arms) on the center hub.  Also have see photos of some Nickey's with Cragar center hub, while one photo showed a 3 arm spinner.  Any Baldwin or Nickey still around to verify what the "factory" options were?

Anyone have a photo of the 1968 Nickey camaro cragar wheel center hub?  Know who sells nos or repros?
37  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: 68 Camaro horns on: December 14, 2012, 01:25:19 PM
As BlackoutSteve indicates, the standard horn placement (non RS, non low note option) is shown on UPC 12, A8.   UPC U3, A1 shows horn Placement for the RS option, and the low note option.  If your Camaro has the basic 2 horn setup use A8.  If horns are still intact with their original mounting brackets, they will only fit one way (because of the mounting tabs) into the headlamp housing and radiator support.

Marty..do we need the "the" before First Gen Authority? Think "Authority" may be spelled incorrectly in 2nd example.

Marty,
My vote is keep the CRG logo + wording.  Loose the RS, SS, etc. but add (in small lettering) the web address.
44  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Re: Rear Axle U Bolts on: November 09, 2012, 12:27:33 PM
Thanks for the Team Camaro reference Jeff68.  My 68 12 bolt (350SS) also has one u bolt and 2 t bolts on each side,  but the u bolts are aftermarket.  Just ordered two u's from Heartbeat the are supposed to be identical to factory ones.  What prompted the question was the Assembly Manual that showed u bolts for the 396 option, although I assumed it also included all  350 SS's w/12 bolt as well.  Just want to check with the experts.
45  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Rear Axle U Bolts on: November 09, 2012, 12:21:52 AM
In 1968, were all 12 bolt rear axles equipped with two U bolts 3930054, or only those with the 396 engine?
