Originality / Re: 1967 SMALL BLOCK V-8 PCV VALVE

Yes it is. The one I referenced on ebay showed a PCV valve with a nipple on both ends. Can you post a picture of your valve? If not on here, can you PM me a pic? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Sean

That's for an open system. I have a closed system. Sorry I should have started that before.

I'm trying to figure out which is the correct PCV valve is for my 67 SS 350. The AIM shows part # 6422294 as the correct PCV  valve for my application. Is this similar to either the CV-726C (6421934) or the CV-590C (6422721) PCV valves? I've seen thes listed for sale on line, and the PC-509C is advertised for a 67 Z-28, and I've seen the CV-726C advertised for a 283 Camaro. They are quite a bit different looking, so I want to make sure I get the correct looking one for my car. Are either of these an accecptable replacement for the 6422294 valve? They appear to have different size nipples on the end for the hose to connect to. Any help would be appreciated. I just want to get the right one.
Thanks,
Sean

Thanks,
Sean

Can anyone tell me, or have a picture of the bolts that attach the shifter mounting bracket to the transmission cross member? What kind of bolt is it? Does it have a captured washer? What are the markings on the head of the bolt? These are the 3 bolts the can be see from the undersdie of the crossmember.
Thanks,
Sean

Restoration / Re: z28 harmonic balancer?

Can anyone tell me what the thickness is of the '67  8" balancer? I need to know the distance between the face of the balancer where the pulley bolts on, and the back side of the hub where it meets the crank?
Thanks,
Sean

Decoding/Numbers / Re: 67' POWER STEERING PUMP PULLEY
« on: March 10, 2010, 10:50:47 PM »
Marty,
Thanks. That's what I was trying to determine. I have the 327 pulley, but I need the 350 pulley, the one you have. I purchased one through a local vendor, but it has the same offset as the one I have, so it's not the right one. I'll have to keep looking.
Thanks,
Sean

Decoding/Numbers / 67' POWER STEERING PUMP PULLEY
« on: March 10, 2010, 03:50:16 PM »
I was wondering if anyone knew the difference between power steering pump pulley #3770509 and 3860457? They are both for a 1967 Camaro with v-8 engine. I know the first is for a 327, and the second is for a 350 ss. I'd like to know what the physical difference is between the two pulleys.
Thanks,
Sean

What head markings should be on the thermostat housing bolts? Is it the same for a '67?

Thanks,

Originality / ENGINE FASTENERS FOR 67 SS 350
« on: January 18, 2010, 01:49:18 AM »
I'm in the process of trying to do a concorse retoration of my engine and engine compartment. I have a 1967 ss 350 4 speed car. I just recieved my fasteners from AMK Products. I'm a little  puzzled about a couple of items I recieved from them. One thing is that there are no washers in the intake manifold bolt kit, or water pump kit. Did the factory use washers under the bolt on such items as the intake manifold, water pump, therm. housing? Also what bolt selection is correct for the thermostat housing? Is the b"TR" bolts correct?
Thanks for any help,
Sean

Originality / ENGINE ASSEMBLY AND PAINT
« on: October 27, 2009, 04:59:42 PM »
Can anyone tell me to what degree were the '67 350 engines assembled before the paint was applied? I'm assuming the oil pan, timing chain cover, water pump, bell housing, and cast intake were all bolted on before paint. Were the carb, coil, distributor all added after the painting was done? Also what about the clutch inspection cover, was it painted  orange?
Thanks,
Sean
