Originality / 67-68 front disc brake low pressure switch
« on: November 18, 2010, 03:29:07 AM »
Can anyone tell me what is correct for a 1967 Camaro with power front disc brakes. I am refering specifically to the splitter block that has the low pressure switch. I have seen them for sale in both brass and cast iron. The cast iron one I bought new online has a drip that I cannot fix. I am going to replace the block and want to get the correct one.
Thanks,
Sean

Originality / 67 camaro rearend mounting
« on: November 17, 2010, 07:05:21 PM »
I was wondering if there were any washers used in mounting the rearend on a 67 Camaro. The AIM doesnt seam to show a washer being used between the T-bolt nut, and the lower shock mounting plate. It seams as though they would have, but the illustation doesn't seam to show any.
Thanks,
Sean

Mild Modifications / COUPE SPRINGS ON CONVERTIBLE
« on: September 21, 2010, 01:07:14 AM »
Has anyone put a set of coupe springs on a convertable with any luck? I'm looking to use monoleaf rear springs, and was wongering if the 1 lb. difference in the rating from convertible to coupe was  a significant amout to really be noticed. Both in ride height, and ride quality. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Sean

Thanks Kevin. Thats the info I've been looking for. I can get these for about $50.00 but not sure what they are for. I was thinking on having then rearched, but wasn't sure if I could do what you did. How long have they been done and are they sagging at all? How much did it cost you , and where did you have it done?
Thanks

If you are talking about the 2 screws that can be see from inside the engine bay on the driver's side fender. The ones I have, that were supplied by AMK, are back oxide finish. 1/4" -20 machine thread,1/2" long. Split captured washer. Hex head with three hash marks at 90 degrees from one another. With a "SS" in the 4th spot around the head. The "SS" are sharp like a lighting bolt. While not original, that is what AMK is suppling as original.

Is it possable that several colors (also no color) were used that year? Or would the caps be all black?  When was the red highlighting used? Yellow?
Thanks,
Sean

« on: June 10, 2010, 01:29:56 AM »
I have a 1967 Camaro SS 350. I was wondering what color are the Delco R-59 battery caps "Broken O" ? My Antiquer Auto battery has Pale red colored "O"s on the top. I saw one car on Jerrie's web site with pale yellow caps. Does anyone know which color is correct?
Thanks,
Sean

Can anyone tell me what would be the correct power brake booster for my 67 Camaro SS 350. Should it have a "DELCO MORAINE" stamp on the upper left hand side of the front of the booster? Also, should the "O"s be open on the sides? I've seen them stamped both way. With the "O" openen on the sides, and also with closed "O"s. Which is correct?

Flyingskibiker,
Thanks for the link. According to that the CV-726C (6421934) is the same as the 6422294. That's what I needed to know. Anyone need an original CV-590C still in the box cheap?
Thanks Guys for all your input,
Sean

JohnZ,
That is correct. Does anyone have a pic of the 6422294 PCV valve? Does it look like the CV-509 valve? Or does it look like the CV-726 valve? Any help would be appreciated.
