61  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Suggestions Wanted For 1969 Camaro Custom Paint Design on: June 09, 2013, 04:59:19 PM
Glad to see the cool 70s are not dead..when a little cob webbing or vreeble were thought radical custom painting..Metalflake paint jobs were popular also. Everybody used Lacquer so painting in the shade was done often by those looking to make your car differnet than the 100s cruising the streets. The custom "Foose " jobs today don't do anything for me...matter of fact I'd be pissed if Chip were to screw up my Camaro with his idea of cool!!  I've been into painting junk on first gens since 1973 when custom painting was in demand.Check out the old car magazines from the 70s and you might just come up with your own idea..Color choice is somewhat  important when planning a custom paint job I beleive...The Motion Phase 3 with spoiler is a cool with a stinger hood. The Z427 with yellow/blk is a neat idea!Love the custom front spoiler!!

Pretty much same motor sold @ Auotzone-Advance Auto for a reasonable price and yes getting harder for them to stock. That's the reason for looking to find a concours rebuilders who knows what the originals should be. Thanks but it's got'a be original looking............

Any good shops that rebuild your original wiper motor? I 've had some rebuilt at my local rebuilders but it might not ever stop running even with the switch unplugged..The local shop now refuses to do anymore because of this problem.I can get a rebuilt motor through Auto Zone or Advance but it might have different hardware and bright zinc plating!

72  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Decoding/Numbers / Re: 375HP OR 425HP ? on: July 22, 2012, 01:31:36 PM
The 272 block would be a 69 block but it appears you have a 67 model  block that was cast in 1966 if those numbers came from your 4 bolt block with the roller cam making 600 hp??

74  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: 67L78 water pump to crank belt on: June 13, 2012, 08:52:52 PM
I've had Quanta belts on 69 L 78s with same part number but vary in length..some tighter than others.Rich  I'm real confused because a 67 L78 chevelle has different pulleys and I haven't found them yet....... so I'll get back to you with belt lenght......hopefully this year?? Thanks
75  Camaro Research Group Discussion / General Discussion / Re: Fold Down Rear Seat on: June 13, 2012, 08:43:31 PM
The 68-69 seat appear to be the same except for the foam and cover is cut out to access the latch...are the latches same for all three years?? The carpet or top side looks the same size when folded down..... Now that we're talking rare seats wonder why the strato bench wasn't offered on conv as the fold down Huh
