« on: February 26, 2010, 12:00:54 AM »
Can anyone give me the exact measurment for the oil pressure line that goes thru the firewall?? The AIM on page 30,31show the hole but no measurment. Page 30 says "3"-RPO U17 .5 hole at existing dimple.I tried that & entered the cowl area.At least I used a very very  small drill bit! I want to install my engine this weekend. Im adding the console guage package. 69 Z10 396-325hp any help is appreciated! Thanks

Springs are original but I did put the plastic spacers in between each leaf,I know they were not original to the car.

No shocks on the car yet,but it does have bigger tires, 35 yr. old BF Goodrich T/As G-60. The measurment is taken from the top of the axle to the frame, would tires really make a difference? Thanks for the imput guys!

Whats the proper ride height in inches. The 69 chassis service manual "4.5" shows where to take measurement from " fig.7"& spec. section"page 4" says 5.5 inch + or- 3/8. Im sure thats correct but my cars at 8.5. Im I reading all this correctly? Car is 69 Z10 396 5 leafs spring 12 bolt!

Zegret,I tried N.M. dmv about 6 mo.ago! No real help, records go back 10 yrs. I bought Z10 in march 76. I  knew previous owners name & old address,so I search it on comp. & found a tel no. I called he didnt have any paper work & could not remember original owners name.Im sure it was bought in Albuquerque N.M. Probably at Galles Grosbeck Chevrolet,or Ed Blacks Chevrolet. Only 2 dealers in town at the time! Ed Blacks has been closed for yrs,Galles did not have any records! :'(

The minute gov. sticks its nose in private business,it wont be long when its demise will begin.GM use to be the largest corp. in the world. This country in my opinion is going down hill fast!
