Mild Modifications / Brake & fuel lines
« on: December 27, 2016, 04:02:15 PM »
My 69 L-35 Camaro has a 1/4 return & 3/8 OD fuel lines, they are original.I thought only the L-78 engine got a single 3/8 OD line & my car should have  5/16 OD & 1/4 OD ?? I have a 69 chevelle "being restored" that has the same lines. They are one continuous line, tank to fuel pump.I would like to set a junction block " no rubber hose" somewhere along the frame.does anyone make one? I also want to Eliminate the dist. block "brake lines front disc rear drum" on the frame rail & use a combo valve just below the master cylinder. Can that be done?? I want to set a junction block for the brake line too, as it is also  one continuous line.
Thanks for any help!~

General Discussion / Buying & selling old camaros
« on: April 13, 2012, 12:04:52 AM »
A friend of mine bought a 69 camaro a few days ago"a retired man who buys & sells old  chevys & parts.A few days ago he bought a 69 camaro, nothing really special, deluxe interior needed work ,seats ripped, dash warped badly ect.12 bolt"not posi"small block greasy, dity broken alt. bracket, painted 3 or 4 times ect.But it did run.The whole car in my mind was adverage at best.He paid 12,500.Sold for 15,500 And a guy wanted to give him 18,000 but he had already promised it to someone. love 69 camaros but are these cars in that "state" really worth that much$$?Maybe because Ive owned one for 36 yrs & I have mine, but I really dont understand this car to me was about 5000 all day long!

Maintenance / RS Headlamps trouble shooting
« on: October 30, 2010, 05:37:37 PM »
Im in the process of figuring out my headlamp doors,I think I know the problem. The headlamp switch seems fine I pull out the switch & vac is cut off at the orange hose.At the vac relay I have vac on the green nozzle with the switch" in the "normal" position. That will close the doors & keep them closed. When I push the switch to the open position I still have vac on the green nozzle & no vac on the red nozzle. That tells me the vac relay is bad. Correct? Also if I put vac on the green hose from the vac relay"by passing vac resovoir & vac relay" I still have vac on the red hose & vice versa. That tells me I have a leak in the actuators too.If I hold my thumb over the opposite hose im not vacuumizing & release my thumb the doors will move, not all the way but if I continue to do that they will open or close all the way. This sounds like I have a bad vacuum relay  & bad actuators does this sound correct?
