General Discussion / 68 TH400 Modulator and line fittings
« on: May 19, 2013, 12:20:30 AM »
Does anybody know if this was the correct modulator (part # and finish ) fitted to the 68 Camaro TH400's. Some people say they were cad plated so I need some advice. Also were the cooler line fittings that screw into the case brass or cad plated ?

Thanks for that, I must of missed that page when flicking through the aim manual. The drawing I was referring to was UPC U03 A1 on page 382.

Not sure whether this has been discussed before but does anybody know the correct position for the mounting of the high and low note horns on a standard car. I've seen a few posts regarding a 69 but not a 68. The aim manual is not very clear.

General Discussion / TH400 shifter cable bracket
« on: May 30, 2012, 09:34:29 AM »
Does anyone know which one of these shifter cable brackets is correct for 68 Camaro with TH400 and floor mounted shifter with console ? The description says they both are but the first one looks more like the one on page 353 of the factory assembly manual.

General Discussion / Shock absorbers
« on: February 03, 2012, 08:37:37 AM »
I'm after some aftermarket shock absorbers for the front and rear of my 68 Camaro. I can't afford spiral shocks so am after some good quality shocks that don't cost a fortune but aren't rubbish either. Is anybody using some that they can recommend.

« on: August 29, 2011, 08:55:01 PM »
Does anybody know who sells  repo backing plates for a 68 12 bolt that is close to original as in appearance and thickness. Even better is it still possible to buy GM ones anywhere? Mine are badly rusted and beyond salvage.

I have a TH400 trans and it has the same kickdown switch that mounts to the side of the holley like the 69 setup. On 67 and 68 BB with TH400 it mounted to the side of the rochester like the holley but used a different mount bracket. The same switch was used on 67 to 69 BB Camaros with TH400. All i would like to know is what comes in contact with the switch on the holley to actuate it. Here's a link to the switch:    www.heartbeatcity.com/.../Camaro-Kick-down-switch-assy-T400--67-68-69/ - United States
