Could anybody tell me or post a picture of how the front and rear aluminium housings are bolted together in the correct position to each other. Ive looked at a few different pictures and some are different to others. Also was the pulley painted black or silver / gold cad.

Does anybody know who sells  repo backing plates for a 68 12 bolt that is close to original as in appearance and thickness. Even better is it still possible to buy GM ones anywhere? Mine are badly rusted and beyond salvage.

What is the correct alternator for 68 396 with TH400 and no air. Some websites say 1100794 and others 1100795.

Does anyone know if the kickdown lever 3924412 pictured on page 355 of the assembly manual is the same for both the Holley and Rochester. If not does anybody have a picture of one that fits to a Holley.

What shade of black was a 68 12 bolt differential originally painted in? Are there any websites that list factory colors for different parts on a 68 Camaro?

Went to rebuild brake calipers and noticed that they are not correct for a 68 Camaro. The numbers stamped on each one are 5463636 and 5463637 and I'm not sure what they are off, maybe chevelle? Could anybody tell me do I have to change anything to mount correct calipers, IE: caliper mount brackets, rotors and backing plates?

What is the easiest way to tell the difference between an original GM walnut centre dash panel and a repo as I want to buy a GM one on Ebay?  Not sure if the GM ones are stamped with a part # ?

General Discussion / Repo delco moraine boosters.

Am thinking of buying a repo delco moraine booster. Are they rubbish and should I stay away or are some vendors repo's better than others. If youve bought one and not been happy with it for some reason please let me know why. The pitting on mine is way too deep to polish out and replate but I can't afford the prices people are asking for restored original ones. It's just as hard to find a good unrestored core as I'm sure most members have found.

Does anyone know if the metal surround for the console clock came optioned in a chrome version or were they all black. I'm asking as I stripped off the old paint on mine and found that it was chrome underneath and was just curious to find out.

Would anyone know the correct length of front dash speaker wire as mine has been cut off 2" from speaker and thrown away. I will eventually fit original AM FM radio which i'm still on the lookout for so i'm not sure how long to make it.

Could someone tell me if all 68 Camaros had bleeders on the master cylinders and were the 11" delco morraine boosters only for certain models or brake setups.
