136  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Mild Modifications / Converting to Console Gauges and Factory Tach: which wiring? on: June 14, 2011, 11:03:08 AM
Hey all, Going with American Autowire/Factory Fit Wiring and want to make sure I order everything I need at once.

My car currently is:
1967 rs/ss
Auto Transmission
Console (no gauges)
Speedometer/Fuel Dash gauges

Want to convert to Console with factory gauges and factory dash tachometer.  Is this all the wiring I will need?

CA70655: CONSOLE HARNESS, with auto. trans. and factory console gauges
CA6706: 1967 CONSOLE GAUGE CONVERSION HARNESS, for original console shift auto. trans.

What about wiring for the Tach, Temp, Fuel, and Ammeter gauges?  Thanks in advance...

139  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Correct Temperature Sender For 67? on: March 25, 2011, 12:20:10 PM
So, what is the correct temperature sender for a 1967 350 with factory console gauges?  Is it the threaded or push-on type?  Anyone have the original part number?Thanks...
140  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Are these original horn button parts??? on: March 25, 2011, 10:51:08 AM
Removed an aftermarket Grant steering wheel awhile back and put back on the original deluxe wheel (glad previous owner kept it) and was wondering if these part were original or not.  I bought the spring, pin, bushing kit from Classic Industries and these parts dont look much like them.  Anyone know?

141  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Mild Modifications / Need reference pics of hold off valve and combination valve placement on: March 22, 2011, 06:57:21 PM
Just checked the AIM and chassis manual but want a "real" picture as reference because I am having a hard time seeing how the combo valve bracket sits. Just added inline tubes disc conversion to the front and am almost finished. Just need to see how these two valves are placed and how the lines are routed to them and the MC. Thanks...
142  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: 1967 printed circuit on: March 17, 2011, 04:59:06 PM
Is the printed circuit on the back of the inst cluster the same for tach & non tach?
Thanks, Joe

What was the verdict on this question?
143  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: Were all 1967 light bulbs clear and ? about console bulb and ash tray bulb? on: March 10, 2011, 08:18:09 PM

144  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Were all 1967 light bulbs clear and ? about console bulb and ash tray bulb? on: March 10, 2011, 12:27:30 PM
I have three questions!

First Question: I am replacing all the light bulbs in my 67 and noticed a clear version and an amber version for bulbs 1157 and 194 at Auto Zone and Pep Boys.  Were all bulbs clear or were some amber?

2ndQuestion: I printed this list off a post on a while back.  I found all the bulbs except the dome and console lamp bulbs #8646.  Is this bulb no longer available or under a different number?

Light Bulb Numbers:
Console automatic transmission indicator      1895
Glove Box                     1895
Ash Tray                      1445
Instrument Panel Gauge                 194
Dome Lamp                   8646
Console Lamp                  8646
Clock (dash)                  1895
Turn signals (dash)               1895
Rear turn (tail lamp)               1157
Radio                      1893
Parking brake                    194
Parking lamp                  1157A
Underhood lamp                  93
Back-up lamp                  1156
Trunk lamp                   1003
License lamp                   1155

3rd question: What number is the ash tray bulb at the back of the console?  I purchased #1445 and it looks nothing like the one I pulled out of the ash tray.  It had no number on it to cross reference either.

Thanks in advance guys!!!
145  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Re: Where there two different shift Indicator Plates for 1967? on: March 10, 2011, 12:10:51 PM
i know they make repros for the 700R4 overdrive trans. why would they have a D for dive and a 3 for third?

I think thats what the one on the left is.  I looked in Classic Industries catalog and they show one for an overdrive.
146  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Where there two different shift Indicator Plates for 1967? on: March 09, 2011, 10:26:06 PM
Just wondering, were there two different shift indicator plates used in 1967 for automatic transmissions?  The white letters plate (PRND321) came off my console which had a powerglide (previous owner blew the trans and put in a 700R4).  The greenish one (PRN321) came off a console I bought off ebay.  Why the difference?

148  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Restoration / Color/s on 1967 Mag Hubcaps on: December 11, 2010, 09:12:12 PM
Just got a set of these off ebay and want to clean them up a bit.  Anyone know what color or colors are original for the painted parts of the hubcaps?  Thanks in advance...

150  Camaro Research Group Discussion / Originality / Is a 67's rear seat shelf suppose to be vinyl on top? on: June 03, 2010, 07:58:46 PM
Just bought a reproduction rear shelf from CI which has vinyl on the topside.  The one I have on now is just a black cardboard/fiberboard type of material, no vinyl.  Anyone know which is correct?  My car was built in Jan if that matters...
