Restoration / 67 Deck Lid repair and ID help
« on: August 31, 2011, 11:32:04 PM »
I Will be removing the rear spoiler the previous owner installed on my car and taking ithe lid to a body shop to repair the holes and was hoping someone would be able to tell me which lid I have and/or provide any pictures of what the same lid would look like without a spoiler.

I want to make sure they repair all holes but not any that should be there.  I am sure all the exterior holes should be filled (except those for the emblems) but I am not sure about the underside?

My car has an 01C build date if that matters...

Thanks in advance!

Mild Modifications / Number/Size of Shims after adding Moog CA Shafts?
« on: August 31, 2011, 05:40:48 PM »
Just swapped my original upper control arm shaft to Moog K5250 shaft kit on my 67 for safety reasons.  I know these shafts add additional camber but is there a starting number and size of shims I should use to get me to the alignment shop?

Restoration / 1967 oil gauge line
« on: August 20, 2011, 02:46:30 AM »
Searching through older posts and want to make sure I purchase everything I need at once.  I will be using Paragon Corvette as they seem to be the most accurate???

I need a line for my 67 350 console oil gauge.  Can anyone verify this is the one I need: https://www.paragoncorvette.com/p-355146-oil-pressure-line.aspx

I have nothing right now so I will be needing everything from the block to the back of the gauge.  Are there any other fittings I need or is everything included in this kit?

Thanks in advance...

Hey all, Going with American Autowire/Factory Fit Wiring and want to make sure I order everything I need at once.

My car currently is:
1967 rs/ss
350
Auto Transmission
Console (no gauges)
Speedometer/Fuel Dash gauges

Want to convert to Console with factory gauges and factory dash tachometer.  Is this all the wiring I will need?

CA70655: CONSOLE HARNESS, with auto. trans. and factory console gauges
CA6706: 1967 CONSOLE GAUGE CONVERSION HARNESS, for original console shift auto. trans.

What about wiring for the Tach, Temp, Fuel, and Ammeter gauges?  Thanks in advance...

« on: March 25, 2011, 05:20:10 PM »
So, what is the correct temperature sender for a 1967 350 with factory console gauges?  Is it the threaded or push-on type?  Anyone have the original part number?Thanks...

Originality / Are these original horn button parts???
« on: March 25, 2011, 03:51:08 PM »
Removed an aftermarket Grant steering wheel awhile back and put back on the original deluxe wheel (glad previous owner kept it) and was wondering if these part were original or not.  I bought the spring, pin, bushing kit from Classic Industries and these parts dont look much like them.  Anyone know?

Just checked the AIM and chassis manual but want a "real" picture as reference because I am having a hard time seeing how the combo valve bracket sits. Just added inline tubes disc conversion to the front and am almost finished. Just need to see how these two valves are placed and how the lines are routed to them and the MC. Thanks...

I have three questions!

First Question: I am replacing all the light bulbs in my 67 and noticed a clear version and an amber version for bulbs 1157 and 194 at Auto Zone and Pep Boys.  Were all bulbs clear or were some amber?

2ndQuestion: I printed this list off a post on Camaros.net a while back.  I found all the bulbs except the dome and console lamp bulbs #8646.  Is this bulb no longer available or under a different number?

Light Bulb Numbers:
Console automatic transmission indicator      1895
Glove Box                     1895
Ash Tray                      1445
Instrument Panel Gauge                 194
Dome Lamp                   8646
Console Lamp                  8646
Clock (dash)                  1895
Turn signals (dash)               1895
Rear turn (tail lamp)               1157
Radio                      1893
Parking brake                    194
Parking lamp                  1157A
Underhood lamp                  93
Back-up lamp                  1156
Trunk lamp                   1003
License lamp                   1155

3rd question: What number is the ash tray bulb at the back of the console?  I purchased #1445 and it looks nothing like the one I pulled out of the ash tray.  It had no number on it to cross reference either.

Thanks in advance guys!!!

Just wondering, were there two different shift indicator plates used in 1967 for automatic transmissions?  The white letters plate (PRND321) came off my console which had a powerglide (previous owner blew the trans and put in a 700R4).  The greenish one (PRN321) came off a console I bought off ebay.  Why the difference?

Originality / Is a 67's rear seat shelf suppose to be vinyl on top?
« on: June 04, 2010, 12:58:46 AM »
Just bought a reproduction rear shelf from CI which has vinyl on the topside.  The one I have on now is just a black cardboard/fiberboard type of material, no vinyl.  Anyone know which is correct?  My car was built in Jan if that matters...

Thanks

Hello all,

Just wondering what they did on a 67, did the factory use speaker grills or a mesh shelf tray for the cars that had the optional rear speakers in the rear shelf tray?  Thanks in advance...

Originality / Were kick panel speakers an option for a 67?
« on: April 11, 2010, 12:15:21 AM »
Just trying to see if the speakers in my kick panel could have been a factory option for my 1967.  My car is the AM radio with rear antenna option.

If so, were there any differences in the kick panels, or did they just cut holes for the speakers?  I have deluxe interior if that matters.

Lastly, could a car have had a dash speaker, kick panel speakers, and rear shelf speakers?

Thanks.
