GM did a lot of option mixing , I used to get in an argument every weekend at a cruz in or car show with my 67 , it is a 327 210 horsepower with a two barrell carb but it has a console with gauge's and factory installed tach , people would argue up and down that because it was a two barrell it COULD NOT have a factory tach , well after more info surfaced come to find out my tach redlines at 5K which is only correct for one engine A 327 210 HORSEPOWER ! I had a 69 chevelle that came from the factory with a 396 375 and a muncie 3 speed ! found the build sheet under the carpet it was coded MC1 muncie 3 speed ! so to have a camaro with a deluxe interior and no console would have been a normal thing ,,

I had a hunch it was a standard vs. deluxe interior thing , so far the deluxe interior 67's are the one's that seem to have the different crank's and also a 67 with std interior would have LIGHT BLUE knob's the factory installed one's in the 67 732 deluxe interior car's has the darker almost NAVY BLUE knob's the same color as the plastic cover's on the seatbelt retractor's ,

heckler I think most of the 67's are metal , at least the early build one's are , my 67 is a 10E oct 1966 build and it has metal seat back's if I can tear my digital camera away from my daughter I will take you some pic's ,
and they have a grain to the metal they are not smooth , how they did that I could not tell you ?

I just found this section of this site , great looking forum , anyway I have asked this question on several message board's and have yet to get a straight answer , mostly all I have seen is opinion's ,

here is the question : why are 1967 camaro's equipped with two different casting number window crank's which are 5719477 a more flat crank and 9702932 a more curved crank , and which one's go in the front & which one's go in the rear ?

I have heard several opinion's but nobody seem's to know the answer to this , I have my own opinion that the more curved one's go in the rear to make it easier to roll the 1/4 glass up and down due to the arm rest and chrome trim but it is AN OPINION !

anybody that can answer this let's hear it , and here is a pic of how much different they are , the one on the left is a 9702932 and the one on the right is a 5719477

I got my 67 RS 10 year's ago it was listed on TC and it was told to have all of it's original paperwork and protecto plate included ,
I got it from Bob Harris of camaro speciailties in east aurora New York , when the car was delivered the guy's that delivered it had no paperwork , bob said he sent it with them ?
so one of three storie's is correct ,
#1 either he never had it !
#2 the delivery guy's took it !
#3 he had it but sold it on ebay later ! ( tracked several protecto plate sale's from him on ebay till he locked all his auction info )

the protecto plate and paperwork is for for 1967 camaro 7N125909 10E build date

if anyone seen it let me know and thank's a lot ,,,,
