Decoding/Numbers / Re: 69' Z28 on eBay in DB ?
« on: September 12, 2013, 09:18:58 PM »
Got him to send me a picture of the Cowl Tag. I remember this tag with the white line going thru it. I went to the search with the VIN and couldn't find it. Is this a real chevy tag?  I think KurtS commented on this once before.... Danny

69Z28-RS.. I don't remember saying I didn't like stock survivor CARS.. Where do you see that  ??? ??? ???  I in fact love stock survivor cars. I have them all around me. They are not mine, but some friends have them. My buddy has an ALL original Stutz Bearcat. I love original and hate non stock hotrods, and rat rods. Ya completely changed it all to another subject. Ride height is ALL I mentioned. Never said I disliked stock original cars....Danny

You probably already know this, but a razor blade WILL scratch glass. I remember using goof off for that kind of thing years ago. I used a cotton swab and rolled it around the area to try to keep it on there, in a little puddle, so it could break it down. But like you said, who knows what it really is... Good luck..... Danny

The ride height is not stock. I don't like the height personally. I guess I should have said that. It is incorrect for stock. Don't get me wrong, it looks good, just not my thing. As far as the other... I was talking about ALL the auctions, not just this one. Sure the cowl in this auction happens to be clear, but what about the POP at a bastard angle all blurry, and the front pad stamp all blurry. What's the problem? Why can't people learn to take a clear picture. Like I have said in the past, SOOO frustrating for me.... Danny

Why is it that the cowl tag, the block stamp and the POP are always blurring in the pictures. I don't get it. I would have to hold that POP in my hand. I would have to see ALL the block #'s. I don't like the non stock ride height, too low. Nice car but I would still have to check it out, or have someone else, before placing a bid.... Danny

My Buddy met all of them. He said the old man was a total jerk. Then his son was the nicest, but WAY to easily amused. Then HIS son big hoss was also a jerk and lastly Chum lee was ok, but thought his poop didn't stink. They are never there. People contact them with a product that is worth big money. Other people handle and set it all up. Then they get several people like that. They tape the show off to the side and all prices are predetermined before taping. My friend went thru it with an antique coke clock from the late 1800's. But he shut their butt down and they didn't like it. So he didn't make the show. I have been up their seeing Elton John, Billy Joel, Queen, Cher, on and on. Every time I have gone in there, none of those clowns are there. Again, all scripted. How can ya do a cold call when the camera man is already in the house. Or in the driveway filming the van pulling in. These shows crack me up. The ice never breaks, the truck never falls thru... EVER.... Danny

Yeah I can never figure why they don't sell some of those items online. You can tell they are gamblers and need the dough. But I can tell ya right now, if they had an expert tell me that my item is worth 12K I sure the hell wouldn't sell it to those idiots for $4,200!! I am 52 and I am only down 66 dollars in my whole life gambling. If I win $10 I just walk away and have lunch. I guess I'm just not a real gambler. Why would you play a game when you know it leans towards the house in a big way. See a casino close??? There is a reason for that. My friend said that the pawn shop was a crap hole for years. Then they got the show and fixed it all up. Now all those clowns think they are somebody. Too funny... Danny
