Here is a link to the Pozzi Racing site that discusses the First Gen steering, both manual and power.

General Discussion / Re: parts sharing, Camaro and Nova?

Here is a link to the 1969 Factory Assembly Manual.  Just might find a digital one by searching the internet. This is the best way to compare and look for parts.

BTW.....there are links to download a Camaro AIM on the Main Page, if you don't have one.

Chick.....my original ones have evidence of Gold Dichromate coloring.  The upper thread coloring is now gone but if you look on the bottom of the stud (the section that was screwed in to the manifold) the gold coloring is still there.  Don't have time at present to get you a photo (got an eye doctor appointment coming up today) but will try later on this afternoon.

No screw in studs prior to 1970.  Screw-in rocker studs with steel rocker guide plates started in 1970 on the Corvette LT1 and Camaro Z28 350 ci engine.

The two inner lights are a combination turn signal and parking light.  The bulb inside the assembly is a dual element unit that performs each function.

General Discussion / Re: Is this the correct metering valve for my '68 Z?
« on: October 27, 2015, 01:26:39 AM »
Chris....depends on the build date of your car.  I have a 1968 Z28 with a build date of 07C and it has the same one as the 1969 (the Fat Boy as I call it).  Here is a link that has some additional info on the differences between the early and late versions......

Chicks car is an earlier build date and it has the smaller valve.

Ah.....I see problem has been fixed.  Maybe it has been mentioned elsewhere but I haven't seen it.  Thanks Kurt :)

So moving up to the L48 mandated that you got the 11" clutch?
Yup.

74
In the L48 SS package, CRG says the package includes "clutch". Maybe this is "performance clutch" Derl (original owner) was thinking of?

Super Sport Package: incl special engine,
dual exhaust, springs, tires, clutch, radiator,
MC1 transmission (in 69), axle and u-joints,
starting motor, hood, badging, and stripes.

The mention of "Clutch" is due to the L48, manual shift option, being equipped with an 11" clutch as opposed to the 10.4".

I match up the original hex head screw to one AMK Products had listed in there catalog. Part number B-2046, size # 8-18 X 1/4.
Couldn't find the B-2046 in the catalog.....looks like that you probably meant B-12046, the specs on this one seem to match what you stated.
